Na’amah is the first Qadištu you encounter in Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance if you are going for the Canon of Vengeance storyline. In the early game itself, you fight her two times and both boss encounters can be quite challenging if you are not having a proper party setup.
The first time you face Na’amah will be in Da’at Minato’s Kamiyacho. She will be the next main story encounter after Hydra in Tokyo Tower.
The second time you face her, she will be in Tokyo, and you will find her collecting Magatsuhi from citizens in the subway. This is right after the Nuwa encounter in the Tokyo Diet Building, but this time she will not be alone and a Galsya-Labolas will be accompanying her.
Here is a guide on how you can easily defeat Na’amah in both encounters in Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance.

How to beat Na’amah in Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance (1st encounter)
1) Stock up on Amrita Soda/Shower and Dark Dampeners
Before going in for the fight make sure to visit Gustave at the Cadaver’s Hollow and buy 3 Dark Dampeners (if you do not have them) and as many Amrita Soda or Amrita Shower as you can.
Dark Dampeners will help you block Mamudo which she will usually opt for after charging her Magatsuhi. This will eat her press turns letting you go on the offensive on your turn.
Amrta Soda and Shower will remove the status effect that Capitulate to Pleasure can inflict. It’s incredibly annoying to fight her while you are charmed, and it’s best you remove the status effect as soon as possible.
2) Make sure that the Nahobino is not weak to dark
If your Nahobinno is weak to Dark, Na’amah can just one-shot you with a Mudo. So make sure you Affinity Fuse him with an essence that either resists or blocks Dark.
An Obariyon or Bicorn essence will do the trick. To get their essence you will either need to explore Da’at to find it, level them up and talk to them in Demon Haunts, or find it from a Quest Navigator point of interest.

3) Make sure to use Apsaras
Apsaras is an amazing pick for the fight. She naturally blocks charm and if you level her up to 17, she will learn Patra.
So not only will she be unaffected by Capitulate to Pleasure, but be able to remove the status effect from a party member who is afflicted with Charm.
Best Demons to beat Na’amah in Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance (1st encounter)
Best Support:
- Apsaras
- Unicorn
- High Pixie
- Andras
- Yoko
As mentioned, Apsaras’ Patra is invaluable for the fight. So make sure to not fuse her out during the encounter. Alternatively, you can go for High Pixe and Andras as they both come with some support skills which will buff and debuff as the fight continues.
If you are looking to invest some Grimoires then Unicorn is another great pick. It is resistant to charm and comes with Patra.
As you will be playing the Canon of Vengeance, you will have access to Yoko. She comes with Tarunda and can reduce Na’amah’s attack powers with it.
Best Healer:
- High Pixie
- Unicorn
- Yoko
Unicorn gets access to Dia, Patra, Hama, Recarm, and Sukukaja. These can be extremely useful in the fight. Additionally, both High Pixie and Yoko have Dia, so they will be able to heal you if you are low.
Best Damage
- Bicorn
- Ippon-Datara
- Nozuchi
- Nahobino
As Na’amah is weak to Physical you will need to have demons that do a lot of Phy damage. Bicorn and Ippon-Datara come with Beatdown which lets it do weak to heavy Physical attacks on 1 foe. The more remaining HP the stronger the attack.
Nozochi, on the other hand, has Lungr, Taunt, and Counter, which can prove to be useful in the fight. However, the most consistent form of DPS will be the Nahobino. If you are going for a more physical build with them, then they can shred through Na’amah’s HP bar.

How to beat Galsya-Labolas and Na’amah in Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance (2nd encounter)
1) Use Apsaras and Affinity Fuse the Nahobino with her essence
Make sure you keep Apsaras in your party till this point in time. As she levels up she will want to talk to you in the Demon Haunts and provide you with her essence. Now Affinity Fuse her essence with the Nahobino so that they become resistant to Charm.
When the encounter starts, Na’amah will not be able to affect either of you with her Capitulate to Pleasure. Apsaras can then use Patra to remove the status from an ally.
2) DO NOT use Shiisaa
As Galsya-Labolas is weak to Elec, Shiisha might seem like a great DPS option against it. However, the demon is very weak to Charm, and not a single round will go by when you are not trying to revive him from the status effect.
He will sometimes hit you with a Mazio when he is under the Charms effect, making the fight more difficult. So make sure to keep Shiisha out of the active party, and rely on the Zio that Nahobino gets at the start of the game.
3) Stock up on Force Dampener, Dark Dampener, and Amrita Soda/Shower
Galsya-Labolas will go for Mirage Assailment after gathering Magatsuhi. You will be able to completely block the incoming attack by using a Force Dampener. You will need to use it in conjunction with a Dark Dampener as well because Na’amah will then hit you with a Mamudo on her turn.
Amrita Soda or Amrita Shower will come in handy to remove Charm from affected allies. So don’t start the encounter before you have a good amount of them in your inventory.
Best demons to beat Galsya-Labolas and Na’amah in Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance (2nd encounter)
1) Best Support
- Ame-no-Uzume
- Apsaras
- Kikuri-Hime
- Yoko
Ame-no-Uzume is a good support choice, however, she is weak to Force and Galsya-Labolas might use her to increase Na’amah’s press turns. An alternate will be to grind till level 24 and then unlock Kikuri-Hime.
Apsaras is a must for the fight for blocking charm and using her Patra to cure those afflicted by it. You can also use Yoko’s Tarunda to reduce the damage that Galsya-Labolas does.

2) Best Healers
- Kaya-no-Hime
- Feng Huang
- Yoko
- High Pixie
Kaya-no-Hime will be the best choice amongst them for healers. Her Unique skill Harvest Dance provides sight HP recovery to 1 ally and raises their Defence by 2 ranks for 3 turns.
Feng Huang comes with Media and Wind Resistance, however, he is weak to Dark. Na’amah will have a very high chance of one-shotting him, so there are a few risks involved when using him.
3) Best damage
- Nahobino
- Oni
- Rakshasa
- Take-Minakata
Oni will be the best Phy DPS choice if you are willing to grind till level 23. If not then you will have to settle for Rakshasa and Take-Minakata. However, we will recommend Take-Minkata more between the two as along with having Lunge +2 he also has Shockbound +2 and will unlock Zionga +2 at level 21.
Both Take-Minakata and the Nahobino will be able to extend the press turn by exploiting their weakness.
If you get the strategy right and wisely use your Omagatoki: Critical, you will be able to easily take out Na’amah in both encounters. However, this won’t be the last time that you face off against this Qadištu in Atlus‘ RPG.
