Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is the newest entry in the long running Call of Duty franchise, being spearheaded by Activision Blizzard’s Treyarch and Raven Software. Modern Call of Duty games routinely feature skins and themed celebration events – and Black Ops 6 is no different in this regard.
The newest event is themed around Netflix’s Squid Game 2 – the sequel to 2021’s hit TV series titled Squid Game. You can find more information about the crossover below – including its release date and contents.
When does the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 x Squid Game collaboration event begin?
The Call of Duty Black Ops 6 x Squid Game event begins on January 3, 2025 across all officially supported platforms for the game. Interestingly, Activision Blizzard is yet to announce an end date for the event as of the time of writing this article.
However, the crossover event is expected to stay live for at least two weeks from its start date of January 3, 2025. The collaboration event will be spread across the following game modes:
- Call of Duty Black Ops 6 multiplayer
- Call of Duty Warzone 2.0
- Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Zombies
Expect multiple Squid Game themed game modes to be released during the event. Further information, if any, will be added to this section to reflect updates.
What to expect from the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 x Squid Game crossover
As usual, players can expect a wide selection of Squid Game themed skins to be made available during the event. Some of the showcased skins include the iconic 006 tagged jacket from the series, and the Golden Tiger Mask skin.
Other than skins, expect to see Squid Game themed events – such as the red light/green light mini-games, as showcased in the Twitter/X post linked above.
Additionally, expect to see more Operator skins (one for Maya) and weapon skins (such as the XM4 blueprint).
