Many fans have been wondering if the brand-new adventure game Zelda Echoes of Wisdom has any swordfighter mechanics in it or not. After all, you are not playing as Link but as Princess Zelda and the game focuses on the new Echoes mechanic.
However, in some form or another, you do get to become a swordfighter in the Zelda Echoes of Wisdom through the Swordfighter Form. So, if you are already on an adventure searching for rupees or a horse and want to improve the swordfighter form for Zelda, here’s how!
How to upgrade your Swordfighter Form
So, you’ve managed to get the swordfighter form during the “Mysterious Rifts” questline and decided to upgrade it in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom. Fortunately, It is pretty simple and part of the natural game progression. You’ll get five unusual crystals once you finish the Mysterious Rift quest, which later comes in handy.
After closing the rift located north of Suthorn Village, Minister Lefte takes you to visit Luberry, the brother of Impa. Luberry introduces players to the upgrade system and will also take responsibility for upgrading your Swordfighter Form in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom.

If you interact with the machinery at Luberry’s, you can upgrade the sword and the energy. Upgrading both is recommended, and each upgrade increases the might crystal requirement. So, prioritize accordingly.
And if you are wondering how to get more might crystals, you can do so by finishing side-quests, defeating bosses, and exploring the world in your free time. It is a good time investment and only improves Zelda further.
What is the swordfighter form
While almost all of the combat in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom is done through the Echo system, you can still access the sword through the swordfighter form. Zelda can temporarily access Link’s combat stances and styles when using the swordfighter form.

This allows her to swing the Sword of Might, and use Link’s iconic spin move. The swordfighter form also allows her to jump higher. Essentially, it is everything that you generally cannot do while controlling Zelda in-game.
Using the Swordfighter form is done through the energy bar, so keep an eye out for the small blue bubbles around the world. These replenish your energy bar and give you the energy to perform swordfighter form in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom.
