Irrespective of the weapon class combination that you are going for in the MMO you will need to make the most of the mining mechanic as you make your way through the narrative. Here is a guide that goes over everything you need to know regarding the system, and how to make the most of it.

How to Mine in Throne and Liberty

How to mine in Throne and Liberty

In order to Mine resources in Throne and Liberty, you will need to look for Ore Veins on the minimap. Once you find them, make your way to the deposit, and you will be able to interact with them to harvest the resource.

PC players will need to press F, Square for PlayStation, and X for Xbox. This will then start a mining animation, and once that is done, the materials will automatically be added to your character’s inventory.

While this is the most direct method of acquiring mining resources in the MMO, there are also other alternate ways that you can invest in:

  • Open Material Chests: You will find material chests in dungeons and after completing certain events. These will net you certain mining resources after you open them.
  • Complete Guild Contracts: Guild Contracts in another great source of mining materials in Throne and Liberty. Make sure you complete them and reap the rewards.

Important things to keep in mind when Mining

When you are Mining ores and veins in Throne and Liberty, here are a few things that you should be keeping in mind:

1) Use the minimap to detect veins

You will be able to check the upper right corner of your UI to spot the minimap. You will find small white “crystal shaped” icons popping up, which shows that a Mining Vein is nearby. These veis are detected over a 100-mile radius.

2) Mining Ores and Veins are a one-time use

Like Gathering Resources, mining Ores and Veins too is a one-time use in Throne and Liberty. This means that the player who harvests it first will get to keep the materials. The node will then disappear from the spot.

3) Mining veins are procedurally generated

Once again, like Resource Nodes, the Mining Veins are procedurally generated as well. So once the ores replenish they will respawn at a different place. However, they will reappear in and around the same general area.

4) Weapons and Jewelry use different materials to make

While Manasteel is used to craft weapons, you will need to get your hands on Gold to make Jewelry. So make sure to spread out your farming when you are out acquiring materials from mining ores.

5) Mining animation can be canceled

If you are attacked by enemies then the Mining animation can be cancelled if enough damage is done to your character. So make sure you are clearing out an area before you start the mining process.

6) Climate effects the mined resource

The climate affects the resources that you acquire from ores and veins. If it’s raining in the region you will obtain Precious Pure Gold from Moonstone Veins.

So to maximize your time and get as many resources as you can in a short time, you might want to invest in the following steps:

1) Plan out a mining path

Chart out an optimal mining path that will let you get the maximum amount of resources in a very short time. Now run it every day before you start completing other missions and dungeons, this will allow you to have a steady farm going.

2) Inventory management is a must

Make sure you are visiting town often to manage your inventory. This is a very limited amount of carrying capacity and storage space that you get before you upgrade them. So visit the town and sell the items and resources you don’t need.

Materials that you collect stack toa. total of 99 each. Hence, once you reach that mark you can free up space by either refining or depositing the materials in the Warehouse.

3) Get familiar with all the ore types and where they spawn

In order to maximize mining it’s key that you familiarize yourself with the different ore types and the veins that you will get them from. learn the spawn locations by heart so that you don’t have to invest too much time looking for Ore spots.

4) Join a Gathering Guild

Joining a Gathering Guild is also a great way of significantly boosting the amount of mining resources that you will be able to obtain every day.
