Throne and Liberty Specter’s Abyss dungeon guide

The Specter’s Abyss dungeon in Throne and Liberty is a co-op activity that you will be able to access once you’ve hit level 20 in the game.

This dungeon has many powerful enemies and features three boss encounters, which can be overwhelming if you’re not using your classes properly.

So, here’s a guide to help you make your way around the Specter’s Abyss dungeon in Throne and Liberty.

Throne and Liberty Specter’s Abyss dungeon walkthrough

The Specter’s Abyss dungeon is broken into different areas, each with their own set of enemies and bosses. Here’s what you can expect:

  • The dungeon is divided into three sections: Inner Halls (first boss), Level Room (second boss), Underground Auditorium (final boss).
  • Apart from these three bosses, you will also face Shadowmancers, Archers, and Soldiers in this dungeon.

So, here’s how you can defeat all three bosses in the dungeon:

How to beat Elite Arkeum Shadowmancer

While the entire fight is straightforward and your goal is to reduce the enemy’s health to zero, there are a few attacks that you need to be vary of:

  • AoE Shadowpools: These pools can instantly remove the health of characters and need to be avoided at all costs.
  • Shadow Nova: These are shadow balls that will constantly push you back.
  • Gravity Strike: Once in a while, the boss will yell, “I will end your life.” Whenever you hear this voice cue, make sure you stun the boss, otherwise it’ll pick two players at random and slam them on the ground.

How to beat Elite Arkeum Riot Squad Captain

Before you can get to this room, you’ll have to disable two levers to remove two specific barriers around the room.

One barrier is a poison wall, while the other one is a fire wall. While you can traverse through these walls, if you do so, it’ll be a Total Party Kill (TPK).

While the boss is slightly tanky, the only trick to this fight is ensuring that you keep the boss stunned so that the DPS characters can keep up with the attacks on the boss.

How to beat Helibel, the final boss in Specter’s Abyss dungeon in Throne and Liberty

When you defeat the second boss, you will be taken to the Inner Arena where you will finally get to face Helibel, the final boss in Specter’s Abyss dungeon in Throne and Liberty.

Just like the first boss, there are multiple attacks that you need to dodge. These are:

  • Shadow Slam: Helibel smashes the ground, pushing out energy in a straight line, damaging anyone who’s standing in the way.
  • Cleave Attack: The boss sweeps its weapon in front, in a vertical arc. This attack can be dodged easily.
  • Shadow Nova Attack: This attack blasts the entire arena and cannot be dodged. You’ll have to block this attack to avoid damage.
  • Death Strike: With this attack, Helibel will target a specific player in Throne and Liberty. At this point, you’ll have to gather around the targeted player and will have to block at the right time to share all the damage amongst the all of you.

This fight is filled with audio cues, so if you hear Helibel say, “Drown, Despair in the Abyss”, you’ll have to block because she’ll be doing the Shadow Nova Attack.

Alternatively, if you hear, “Do you truly believe you can best me on your own?,” you’ll have to gather around the targeted player because Helibel is about to do the Death Strike.

It’s also worth noting that Helibel is immune to crowd control and status effects, so just focus on the raw DPS that you can deal.
