Throne and Liberty Weapon Mastery explained

Weapon Mastery is a feature that lets you further empower your build and start min-maxing your character in Throne and Liberty. It’s a core part of the progression system in the MMO which is why you will need to understand the various nuances behind the feature and how to increase it.

Here is a guide on everything that you need to know about Weapon Mastery in Throne and Liberty.

How does Weapon Mastery work in Throne and Liberty

Weapon Mastery Throne and Liberty

The Weapon Mastery system shows how proficient you are with a particular weapon in the MMO. You increase this proficiency by consistently using the weapon in combat, this will let you gain Weapon Mastery XP and once it increases you gain new Weapon Mastery Levels.

Each Mastery Level grants one Mastery Point and you use them to unlock Mastery Skills and abilities which is tied to that particular weapon.

You will be able to check the Weapon Mastery and spend points by making your way to the Skills menu and then heading into the weapon’s progress bar. Every weapon class in Throne and Liberty has three Mastery paths that you can go down. Each focuses on a particular playstyle, opening up whole new gameplay possibilities when you take weapon combinations into question.

Can you refund Mastery Points?

Throne and Liberty will let you refund all the Mastery Points that you have invested in a weapon class, however, you will need to use Sollant for it. So if you are changing your build or accidentally invested in a Mastery Skill that you didn’t want, you will always be able to revert the change with some additional Sollant.

Is Weapon Mastery shared?

The Weapon Mastery is shared across that particular weapon class in Throne and Liberty. So if you are proficient with the Longbow and Dagger combo then you will gain proficiency for these two weapon classes. So the Mastery Levels you have gained will transfer over to any Longbow or Dagger that you are using irrespective of their rarity.

How to increase Weapon Mastery in Throne and Liberty

Mastery Skills Throne and Liberty

To gain Weapon Mastery and increase your Mastery Level in Throne and Liberty you will need to earn EXP with the weapons that you have equipped. This is usually done by killing enemies with them.

However, while this method can be effective in the early game, the EXP farm for Mastery will slow down considerably later on. Monster XP will not be enough to have a steady EXP farm going.

Instead, you will want to depend on the following:

1) Complete Abyssal Contract dungeons

Abyssal Contract Dungeons grant a lot of Weapon mastery when you clear them. However, do keep in mind that the weapon you use the most to deal the finishing blow will earn more weapon mastery than the secondary weapon.

So make sure you are running these dungeons regularly for both EXP and rare loot and material drops.

2) Use Training Dew

Training Dew will instantly give a fixed amount of Weapon Mastery to both main-hand and off-hand weapons. The best place to farm this resource will be in Co-Op Dungeons, including the Specter’s Abyss which you unlock after hitting level 20.

However, do keep in mind that the Training Dew you loot will expire after 24 hours, so make use of it before time runs out.
