Type // CC has a fair amount of combat depth, and much of it revolves around the three playable races that it brings to the table- Soul Reapers, Hollows, and Quincies. Each race is very unique and has a completely different style of combat.
Moreover, the races have a progression system that is unique to them as well. As you make your way through the levels you start to unlock more powerful skills for each race, however, you will have to invest a lot of grind to max out the race that you have chosen.
So if you are looking to make the most of your character’s race in the Roblox game, then the guide below will help you out.
All Races in Type // CC
There are currently three races that you will be able to play as in Type // CC:
Race | Playstyle |
---|---|
Soul Reaper | The Soul Reaper focuses more on sword-based combat. As you level up you start unlocking powerful Shikais and Bankais along along with the ultimate Vizard transformation. |
Hollow | The Hollow playstyle is all about evolving into stronger forms as you progress through the game. You start from Menos and eventually reach Arrancar. |
Quincy | Quincies use bows and arrows made of spiritual energy. This race is all about excelling at long-range combat. |
Soul Reaper Progression Guide in Type // CC

If you have opted to play as a Soul Reaper in Type // CC you will want to master the sword as soon as possible to unlock the powerful Shikai and Bankai skills right away.
When you are just starting out it’s recommended that you form a party. The Soul Reaper race can struggle early on before you start getting more levels. Once you make a party, queue up for missions and start earning experience.
Also, make sure to unlock Flashstep and Soul Style right away from the Kido tree. They are available for 0 skill points but are extremely useful abilities to have in the early game.
So once you get going, this is how your initial progression is going to look like as a Soul Reaper:
1) Grade 5 to Grade 2
This is an easier part. All you will need to do is to complete missions, and earn experience, and you will eventually get to Grade 2. You will not need to do anything special to reach this milestone.
2) Grade 2 (getting your first Shikai)
To go beyond Soul Reaper Grade 2 in Type // CC you will need to unlock your first Shikai. To do this you will need to start the Shikai Quest which requires you to Meditate three times with each session lasting 5 minutes.
When you start the fourth meditation attempt you will automatically trigger a Shikai fight which takes place in your character’s Inner World. When you win the fight, you will unlock your Shikai which will then activate when you tap J, as long as you have your sword equipped.
If you lose the fight, keep retrying the encounter by meditating.
Note: The Shikai callout you get determines the type of ability you have obtained. They vary in rarity and the longer the callout the better the Shikai.
3) Semi Grade 1 to Elite Grade
To reach Elite Grade all you will need is Mission EXP and at least one grip at Semi Grade 1. When you reach Elite Grade, the final step will be to unlock the Vizard.
How to Unlock Vizard in Type // CC
The Vizard is a Soul Reaper-exclusive transformation that will let your character tap into the strength of the Hollows. This gives you a temporary buff that can be used to breeze through any content that you are struggling with.
To become a Vizard in Type // CC you will need to:
- Equip and use 10 Hogyoku once you reach Elite Grade.
- You will then gain access to Vizard Cero.
- You will finally gain access to one of the five buffs (randomized):
- Health Regeneration
- Reiatsu Regeneration
- Speed Boost
- Damage Boost
- Defense Boost
If you aren’t happy with the buff you receive, you can reroll it once using one of the following items:
- True Hogyoku
- Variant Reroll
- Soul Blessing
Soul Reaper Vizard combat enhancements

Hollow Progression Guide in Type // CC

As mentioned, Hollows have an evolution-based progression in Type // CC. The goal as a Hollow is to get your transformations going as soon as possible by consuming other Hollows.
You will be starting your journey as a Fishbone, eventually consuming your way up to Arrancar and then finally unlocking the Segunda Etapa transformation.
Here is what a general progression will look like:
1) Normal Hollow to Menos
Going from Normal Hollow to Menow will only require EXP. So just kill Hollows and consume them by pressing B to finally evolve into a Menos.
2) Menos to Adjuchas
Once you reach Menos, equip the Menos Cero from the Kido Tree in your Skill Tree Menu (N). When you can enough EXP you will then automatically evolve into an Adjuchas.
3) Adjuchas to Vasto Lorde
To finally become a Vasto Lorde, you will need to make use of the Mask Crack Mechanic in Type // CC. When you become an Adjuchas you will see a mask crack counter which is at the top of your screen.
For every Adjuchas NPC kill you gain 2 mask cracks. However, if you die, you will lose a certain number of cracks. Once you reach 18 cracks, you will automatically transform into Vasto Lorde.
How to become an Arrancar in Type// CC
You can become an Arrancar at any time after you become a Menos in Type // CC. All you will have to do is tear off the mask and you will transform into that form.
However, the Arrancar type you get will depend on the evolution stage that you are in as a Hollow:
- Menos makes Weaker Arrancar
- Adjuchas makes Stronger Arrancar
- Vasto Lorde makes the Most powerful Arrancar
Fortunately, you will be able to negate all of these stat differences by using 7 Hogyoku Fragments. Additionally, as an Adjuchas or Menoscar, you can use 18 mask cracks or 7 Hogyoku Fragments to evolve into a Vastocar.
How to Unlock Segunda Etapa in Type // CC
To become a Segunda Etapa in Type // CC you will need to invest a fair bit of grind. It’s the most powerful Arrancar transformation in the game, and to get it you will first need to become a Vastocar.
As mentioned above, to become a Vastocar you will need 18 mask cracks or 7 Hogyoku Fragments as an Adjuchas or Mensocar. After that get your hands on one of the following elements:
- Storm
- Shark
- Bone
- Starrk
- Vampire
- Light
- Arrogante
- Volcanica
- Slash
- Phoenix
- Pantera
Once you have it you will then need to make your way to the sword that is used for Resurrección. Interact with it and then get 20 grips on enemies in either Bankai, Resurrección, or Vollständig. Once you have it, return to the sword to finally unlock the Segunda Etapa form.
Hollow Resurrección explained
As a Hollow, you will need to depend on the Resurrección mechanic to be able to go toe-to-toe with the other races in the game. This feature is equal to a Shinigami’s Shikai or Bankai and you will need to follow a certain progression path to unlock its various stages.
When you reach Grade 2, you will receive Partial Resurrección. Once you do, make sure to select Cero path from the Kido Tree and then head inside Hueco Mundo Castle. You will find that a Black Orb has spawned.
First click on the pink orb to receive an item, and then on the black orb. You will now need to unlock the three stages of Hollow Resurrección:
Resurrección Stage | How to Unlock |
---|---|
Stage 1 | Win 27 raids or 24 ranked matches. |
Stage 2 | You will first need to kill 80 Hollow NPCs (missions are counted) then Grip 15 Elite Grade players who are of the opposite faction. Once these two steps are met, you will finally need to defeat a World Boss. |
Stage 3 | To unlock stage 3 you will need to head back to Hueco Mundo and then make your way to the Menos Forest to find a tree that is at the very back of the area. Climb the tree once you find it. You will find a sword at the top and you will need to meditate there for 10-seconds. Upon doing so, you will need to enter a maze, where you will find a Hollow with blue eyes. Interact with it and a Shadow Adjucha will spawn which will start chasing you. Once you reach the target before you get caught, a cutscene will play and you will have unlocked your Hollow’s Resurrección. |
Note: A Hollows Resurrección comes in two types of callouts: Legendary and Common.
Quincy Progression Guide in Type // CC

Compared to the other races the Quincy has a much more straightforward progression path. All you will need to do is to complete missions, and gain abilities, and you will eventually start getting your hands on the more powerful transformations:
Here is what a basic progression path will look like:
1) Grade 5 to Semi Grade 1
Progression from Grade 5 to Semi-Grade 1 is rather simple. All you will need to do is gain EXP by completing the various missions. Now to progress beyond Semi Grade 1, you will need to get your hands on one Grip by taking out an opponent.
2) Get Schrift in Grade 2 and beyond
While you are making your way to Semi-Grade 1, you will be eligible to get your hands on your Schrift after reaching Grade 2. A Schrift is an ability unique to the Quincy that significantly enhances the race’s combat prowess.
To get your hands on a Schrift you will need to complete the special quest obtained from a statue in Wandenreich. Once you find it, interact with the point of interest and you will receive the following tasks:
- Defeat 1 Menos (NPC or Player)
- Defeat 1 Adjuchas (NPC or Player)
- Defeat 3 Fishbones (NPC or Player)
- Grip 1 Shinigami Player
- Grip 1 Arrancar Player
Once you complete each of the objectives, head back to the statue and interact with it to obtain a Schrift.
3) Semi Grade 1 to Elite Grade
After you reach Semi Grade 1 make sure to get one Grip to be able to progress further with your Quincy. Now to reach Elite Grade all you will need to do is earn Mission EXP and obtain some Grip EXP when required. The path is pretty straightforward.
Note: As a Quincy, you will be able to change weapons by using Spirit Boxes. These items are obtained from raids or Karakura Town for 80,000 Kan.
