As per official sources, the next update for Grow a Garden is set to release on May 17, 2025 – which falls perfectly in line with the weekly update schedule. The update has been titled as the ‘Chicken Zombie Update’, and is set to be released at 2 PM UTC.

New additions and changes from the upcoming Grow a Garden update
The following changes and/or additions are to be expected from the Chicken Zombie Update for Grow a Garden:
- Chicken Zombie: The update will feature the zombie farmer and his pet, the Chicken Zombie. As always, players will be directed to complete a set of missions to unlock this character.
- Blood Moon event: Triggers every 3 hours, and boosts the frequency of the Moonlit Mutation – thereby increasing the chances of the Blood Moon Shop to spawn.
- A Shooting Stars weather event that will also apply mutations.
- New Pets
- New Seeds
- New Gear
- Certain quality of life improvements and bug fixes.
