While most of the characters are obtained through the gacha system in Wuthering Waves there are some that you will be able to get for free by just playing the game. While these characters may not be very high up on the tier list, they can be incredibly powerful with the right build and party set-up.
These character are there to help you learn the various ins and outs of the game. They will even help you have an easier time going through the early-game content as you explore the various secrets of Solaris-3.
Below is a list of all the free characters that you will get in Wuthering Waves and how you can get them.
How to get all the free characters in Wuthering Waves
1) Rover (Spectro)
- Rarity: 5 Star
- Main Weapon: Sword
As the main protagonist of the RPG, you will get to select the Spectro Rover at the very beginning of the game.
2) Rover (Havoc)
- Rarity: 5 Star
- Main Weapon: Sword
Spectro and Rover are the two choices you get when the narrative starts in Kuro Games‘ title. You can pick either.
3) Yangyang (Aero)
- Rarity: 4 Star
- Main Weapon: Sword
Yangyang will be the first free character that you get to recruit for your party in Wuthering Waves. You will be able to automatically unlock her by just completing the prologue.
4) Chixia (Fusion)
- Rarity: 4 Star
- Main Weapon: Pistols
Chixia is the second character that joins you on your journey. You will be able to get her right after the prologue once you have made your way to Jinzhou.
5) Baizhi (Glacio)
- Rarity: 4 Star
- Main Weapon: Rectifier
Baizhi is a part of the Banner Gacha tutorial system. You will be able to unlock her for your party as soon as the gacha system is unlocked and you roll the Tidal Chorus banner
6) Yuanwu (Electro)
- Rarity: 4 Star
- Main Weapon: Gauntlet
Yuanwu unlocks a little later in the Wuthering Waves narrative, and you will get to obtain the 4-star Electro character by taking part in the Rumbling Hollows event.
7) Sanhua (Glacio)
- Rarity: 4 Star
- Main Weapon: Sword
To get Sanhua you will need to take part in the Gates of Thawing Frost event and log in to the game for 5 consecutive days.
