Wuthering Waves “Launcher too big/Stuck on download” error fixes and reasons

Wuthering Waves players are running into another problem where they are not able to install the game as the launcher is getting stuck and not being able to complete the download. The download speed is going down to zero for many players and the progression bar is stuck for hours.

It’s one of the more annoying issues in the RPG along with the black screen, and the “Program not responding” error. Fortunately, there are a few fixes that you can try to deal with the problem.

While there may be no permanent solutions, below are some workarounds that have been successful with others in the Wuthering Waves community.

How to fix the “Launcher too big/Stuck on download” error in Wuthering Waves

1) Try downloading the game at another time

The installation error can be caused because of a high volume of concurrent downloads. So if a lot of other players are installing th game at the same time as you are, it’s likely that your speed is reaching zero because Kuro Games’ servers are reaching maximum capacity.

One of the best solutions for this will be to wait it out and try downloading Wuthering Waves at another time.

2) Pause and resume the download

While this may not seem like much of a fix, many in the community have stated that this has worked for them.

So pause the download from the Client and then resume it after some time (give it an hour or two). It’s likely that the download speed will pick up.

3) Check your internet connectivity

The download error can be from your end as well. So make sure that you check your internet connectivity before resuming installation. Try playing other multiplayer titles to see if you are facing problems.

If the issue is present in other games then either restart your router or call your cable operator.

Downloading Wuthering Waves on bad connectivity can lead to “vcruntime140_1dll was not found” error.

4) Restart your computer

Restarting your computer can help deal with a good number of performance issues that Wuthering Waves is facing. So you can try and restart your system and then the download, to see if the installation speed goes up.

5) Contact Kuro Games support team

If the above steps fail, contact the Wuthering Waves support team. They will likely help you out with all of the performance-related problems.

What causes the “Launcher too big/Stuck on download” error in Wuthering Waves?

The stuck-on download issue in Wuthering Waves is usually caused if there is a high surge of concurrent downloads. It overloads the servers and causes the installation to slow down.

Additionally, it can also be caused if your own internet connection is facing an issue that is preventing you from properly downloading the RPG.
