Tinkering with the Wuthering Waves graphics and display settings will help net you the best performance on any system. With the amount of performance issues that the game has been facing since launch, it’s not surprising why players are looking for ways to minimize the amount of lag and stutter.
Wuthering Waves by default has all of its settings maxed out. So as soon as you start the game, and incase you do not have a monster of a PC, the game will have severe stuttering issues which can be off-putting.
So you will want to maximize the settings that Kuro Games have provided in their open-world game. Below are the best Wuthering Waves settings changes that you will need to make before playing the game.
Contents:
Best Display Settings for Wuthering Waves
- Graphics Quality: Medium
- Screen Mode: Windowed Mode
- Resolution: 1920 x 1080
- Brightness: Default
- Frame Rate: 45FPS
As Wuthering Waves still needs a fair bit of optimization we will not recommend that you lock the game on 60 FPS. There have been severe FPS drops when exiting a cutscene or loading a new environment. Hence, to minimize stuttering it’s recommended that you put it on 45 FPS for now.
Additionally, playing the title on Windowed Mode can also help reduce lag. However, we leave this up to your preference.
Best Graphic Settings for Wuthering Waves
- Shadow Quality: Medium
- Special Effects Quality: Low
- LOD Bias: Low
- Capsule AO: Off
- Volumetric Fog: Off
- Volumetric Lighting: Off
- Motion Blur: Off
- NVIDIA DLSS: Off
- Anti-Aliasing: On
- V-SYNC: On
- NVIDIA Reflex: On+ Boost (if you have an NVIDIA GPU)
Wuthering Waves offers a lot of additional graphics features that will eat up your system’s performance. Stuff like LOD Bias which is “level-of-detail bias” determines the details of any object that is afar.
You honestly do not need to turn this up in the RPG, however, if you have a monster PC then feel free to put it on high. However, it will eat through your system’s processing power.
Capsule AO, on the other hand, which is Ambient Occlusion refers to the depth of shadows. Which is also something that you do not need.
While you are switching off most of the graphics settings, make sure to have Anti-Aliasing and V-SYNC. If you have an NVIDIA GPU, the NVIDIA Reflex set to “On + Boost” will also help improve performance by a good margin.
