The best Shaco build options in League of Legends 14.11 have helped the Demon Jester gain a fair bit of itemization versatility allowing him to be versatile enough to fit multiple roles. He has been having a much easier time in the current meta, and you will be able to keep him more relevant in the game even if you fall behind early.
Shaco is a menace to deal with in solo queue and depending on your team composition you might either like to flex him in the Top lane or as a Support if the role of the Jungler is already taken.
He is the perfect pick for tilting the enemy team. While he is harder to master than most other assassins in League of Legends, Shaco can be incredibly fun to play once you start successfully pulling off ganks and melting the enemy carry.

Shaco Jungle Pros and Cons in League of Legends Season 14
Pros:
- Has one of the best lane ganking potential in the early to mid-game
- Can solo most neutral objectives like the Drake, Voidgrubs, Herald, and even Baron Nashor if he gets an early lead.
- An incredibly fun and rewarding assassin
- One of the few junglers with a lot of item versatility. Can go AP or AD based on team composition and game state
- Can one-shot most enemy carries once he has his build going
Cons:
- Incredibly difficult to master and has a high skill ceiling
- Squishy and can be killed by a fed enemy carry in the blink of an eye
- AD build suffers against champions that stack armor. Picks like Rammus, Jax, and Udyr counters him hard.
- Q and backstab reliance can make it harder for him to deal with carries who have good mobility
- Jack In The Box placement and clone control take a fair bit of practice to get used to
Shaco Jungle tips and tricks

Early Game
- When the game starts it’s often ideal to rush towards your raptor camps and then place two Jack In The Box there as soon as the game timer reaches 50 seconds. Place a third box infront of the Red Brambleback, but make sure that the box is placed away from it so that it does not automatically aggro the buff once it spawns.
- From Raptors, get your Red, and then complete the Gromp camp. Depending on the side of the Rift you are on, look for ganks in the Top or Bot lane.
- You can even look to use Shaco’s clear speed to his advantage and invade the enemy Jungler if they are a champion that struggles with clearing camps early on.
- Look to constantly push your advantage and ganking lanes to get your team ahead. Mark the enemy jungler path and contest objectives like the Drake and Voidgrubs
Mid Game
- As soon as you have a few completed items under your belt your main objective now will be to help the rest of your team get ahead. Shaco falls off a fair bit the later the game goes, so now is the time that you secure an insurmountable gold lead for the team.
- Get the Rift Herald and force down towers while contesting for the Dragon Buffs.
- Look to take down carries who are not alone and not with their support. At this stage of the game, Shaco can usually melt most ADCs.
- Vision is key, and replace your Warding Totem with a scanner. Use your boxes as wards and use the scanner to take out enemy vision.

Late Game
- The late game is when Shaco struggles a fair bit to stay relevant especially if you are going for an AD build. Your goal in team fights will always be to gain access to the enemy backline and take out their carries.
- However, Shaco being incredibly squishy himself can get easily taken down if you fail the engage.
- Look to use your boxes to create a bit of chaos when a fight breaks out, and make sure that you are making the most of his clone.
- If you are having a hard time staying alive in fights, try going for situational items that will improve your survivability. Guardian Angel and Maw of Malmortius if you are going AD, Zhonya’s Hourglass if you are going AP.

Shaco Jungle counters in League of Legends season 14
Shaco is usually countered by junglers who have a higher clear speed, mobility, a lot of CC, and tankier stats in Riot’s MOBA. He struggles to stay relevant against the following junglers:
- Lillia
- Jax
- Rammus
- Vi
- Skarner
- Udyr
- Rek’Sai
When facing his counter, the best early to mid-game strategy will be to invade their jungle and disrupt their pathing. Getting junglers like Lillia and Jax to fall behind early will work in your favor allowing you to have an easier time pushing for neutral objectives and towers.
However, make sure to end the game early against them if you can get a sizeable lead. The longer it goes the more difficult it gets for Shaco to stay relevant.

Shaco Top/Support AP Pros and Cons in League of Legends Season 14
Pros:
- AP Shaco is incredibly annoying to play against during the laning phase. The Boxes do a good deal of damage and it’s almost impossible to gank him when he has them placed all around the lane and he has his Q up.
- He does especially well against melee champions. You can use his E to harass the enemy and proc Arcane Comet and Scorch to get some additional damage off.
- AP Shaco scales incredibly well, and he gets even more difficult to deal with as the game goes on.
- Boxes placed strategically, and proper use of the clone can win you team fights even if your team is outnumbered.
Cons:
- Incredibly squishy and cooldown-reliant in the early game. This makes farming with him harder as opponents can harass him and chip away at his HP if he goes into CS.
- Shaco is also very mana-hungry early on. It’s very easy to deplete his resources and not have enough mana to Q out of a gank if you are excessively harassing the enemy.
- Jack In The Box that you have placed along the lane can be detected and cleared with a Red Scanner. This can oftentimes ruin your setup forcing you to place the boxes again.
- Shaco is incredibly hard to master in any role, and the first thing you will need to get more familiar with his box placement and clone usage. Getting either of these wrong in a fight will just ruin his chances of securing a lead.

Top lane counters:
- Riven
- K’Sante
- Vayne

- Urgot
- Garen
As a Support, Shaco is easily countered by enchanters.
Bot lane counters:
