Arcane’s showrunner Christian Linke has recently revealed that three more League of Legends series are already in production and will revolve around the regions of Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia. This official news comes from Linke’s interview with streamer and content creator Necrit94, right after the finale of Arcane season 2.
While the exact details of how they are going to tackle the regions remain a mystery, Linke does confirm that they are invested in making a cinematic universe. The story of Runeterra is “far from done” and Riot will be “building a slate to tell a new story and continue others.”
So one can expect a fair number of links from the base Arcane narrative and the continuation of some character stories in the new series, especially that of Mel Medarda.
Explaining all regions that the upcoming League of Legends TV shows will be taking place in

Linke has already confirmed that the showrunners will be tackling stories in the following regions:
- Noxus
- Ionia
- Demacia
Noxus is sort of like a warring state which is eternally steeped in conflict. Their primary goal is to conquer other lands and also act as the operating base for the Black Rose, a secret organization that had plenty of screen time in Arcane.
Ionia, on the other hand, is peace-loving and is composed of several allied provinces. They are referred to as the “First Lands” and are surrounded by seas that are hard to navigate through.
Finally, Demacia is one of the biggest central hubs in Runeterra. The kingdom is against everything that is magic and has in most cases built their entire townships with Petricite. It’s a material that is used in absorbing the magic out of those who are Arcane awakened.
Upcoming League of Legends TV show expectations for every region
Here are a few things we can expect from each of the regions that will be the center of the upcoming LoL TV shows:
1) Noxus (Mel and the Black Rose)

The Arcane finale shows Mel overpowering her mother and then going on to betray the Black Rose. This will likely open up a series of events in Noxus where Mel and the Black Rose are from. Now with her returning home, it won’t be surprising to see a new narrative around her and how she further develops her newly awakened Arcane powers.
Additionally, Swain is also likely going to be a central part of the Noxus narrative. There are a lot of Easter Eggs that refer to the Noxian General, especially that of the three-eyed raven from the season finale.
2) Ionia (Singed and his toxic substance)

The show in Ionia revolves around the Noxian invasion. Singed and his toxic substance plays a key role in how the Noxians start to take over the Allied forces. Not only does it wipe out significant factions of Irelia and Karma’s forces, but it also scars Riven and completely destroys Master Yi’s village.
Singed is tied to a lot of champion lores in Ionia, so he is very likely to see a fair bit of screen time in the upcoming show.
3) Demacia (Sylas and Lux)

The Demacian narrative might just revolve around the kingdom’s stance towards those who have an inclination for the Arcane. The plot will likely deal with Sylas’ imprisonment, then using Lux to escape, and then finally forming a renegade band of his own while out on the run.
Mages are treated as secondary creatures in Demacia, and the show might represent the internal conflict that the kingdom faces around that stance.
Next League of Legends show’s expected release window
Christian Linke revealed that the next League of Legends series has already “[been] in development for about a year”. So fans can likely see it hitting streaming platforms by the end of 2026.
