Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok is the first player to be inducted into the League of Legends’ newest Hall of Legends on June 14, 2024.
The South Korean mid-laner has been in the professional scene for 12 years. He is often hailed as the undisputed GOAT in League of Legends and many still consider home to be at the top of his game, even today.
The Hall of Legends is LoL’s newest addition, and the team plans to induct one player to this legendary group every year.
Faker joins the LoL Hall of Legends as its first inductee
The Unkillable Demon, Faker, is the first entry to the newest exclusive group in LoL esports, the Hall of Legends. The mid-laner from T1 boasts an impressive cabinet of trophies with four World Championship titles, two MSI wins, and a whopping 10 LCK titles to his name.
Lee Sang-hyeok is also loyal to his team, he has only played for the South Korean team T1 since his joining. The team has seen countless changes in its LoL roster since Faker’s joining, but the mid-laner has been a constant backbone all throughout.
In February 2020, Lee Sang-hyeok became a part-owner of the entire T1 Entertainment and Sports section. Faker’s entry to the LoL Hall of Legends has been applauded by all, including the top brass from Riot Games as well.

Faker to be honored with a Mercedes AMG and an in-game event in LoL
Faker’s entry to the LoL Hall of Legends is going to be honored with a special in-game event and a one-of-a-kind Mercedes-Benz award. The in-game event will feature an event pass, commemorative cosmetics, and skins celebrating Faker’s career that other players can earn and purchase.
Apart from the in-game event, Mercedes-Benz will also present Faker with a custom Mercedes-AMG SL 63. Riot Games will release more details about both the in-game event and the Mercedes-Benz reward in the coming weeks.
