The Infernal Hordes mode in Diablo 4 has offered players the endgame content that they were looking for. In this rogue-like horde mode, you get to face waves of enemies in increasing difficulty in exchange for powerful rewards.
Whenever you start a round of the Infernal Hordes, you’ll be greeted by a Tormentor, which is being regarded as more powerful than Uber Lilith. Players, especially Rogues, have figured out that it’s not the melee attack that is worrisome, but it’s the ranged attack which is the problem.
As shared on Reddit by SnooWalruses7933, the Tormentor at the start of any Infernal Hordes is one of the most difficult bosses in the game currently.
The OP also added, ” Everything else dies easily. Including tormented bosses. It’s nice having him there to humble me sometimes.”
Others mentioned that he’s been added so that players can gauge the difficulty of the tier that they’re currently in. A player said, “He is there to be a difficulty test yes, but his damage is way overtuned,” while another added, “He can one shot me if I’m not careful.”
While most have agreed that this boss is overtuned and deals a lot of damage, others have suggested that the best way to deal with the Tormentor is to dodge its attacks.
Others have also mentioned that the Rogues have their Dark Shroud ability, which can help avoid its attacks and potentially shield them from being one-shot by it.
Considering how difficult this boss is, it’s nice to see that players finally have a challenge to put up with. And even if it’s bugged, then it’s unclear if Blizzard will step in and tune the damage that this enemy is dealing to the players in the Infernal Hordes in one of the upcoming patches for Diablo 4 Season 5.
