How to upgrade your Blaster in Star Wars Outlaws

Your Blaster in Star Wars Outlaws is your main weapon, and your main source of damage in the game.

While you will be able to pick up guns that the enemy drops, you won’t be swapping out your trusty handgun for them.

Upgrading your Blaster is the quickest way to become stronger in this space exploration saga so here’s how you can do it.

How to modify you Blaster in Star Wars Outlaws

To upgrade your Blaster, you will have to complete the New Tricks main quest and get Waka to repair the Trailblazer so that you can move around the ship.

Once you’ve completed the above step, you’ll find a workbench on the western side of the ship. It is as this workbench that you will be able to modify your Blaster.

When you interact with this bench, you’ll get two options which are as follows:

  • Modules
  • Appearance

As the name suggests, the Appearance menu lets you modify the visuals of the Blaster, whereas the Modules allow you to make functional changes to the weapon.

There are three major components of the Blaster that you will be able to upgrade, namely:

  • Plasma
  • Ion
  • Power

You will not be able to upgrade your weapon from the get go. Instead, you’ll have to get parts before you can upgrade the Blaster.

If you’re unsure of how to get a particular part, you can hover over it and press the button mentioned on the tool tip for the “Requirement Details” option. This will tell you how you can get the part you need.

How to get materials to upgrade your Blaster in Star Wars Outlaws

The easiest way to get Blaster upgrade materials in Star Wars Outlaws is by raising your reputation with the Hutt Cartel and Ashiga Clan to Excellent.

Doing so will reward you with the Blaster Upgrade Bundle which contains a lot of resources that you can use to upgrade your weapon.

Alternatively, every clan in the game has vendors that often stock up on Blaster upgrade materials. If your reputation is good with these clans, these vendors will sell you their wares, and even offer a discount.

That said, there are a few materials and upgrades that you won’t be able to pick up from any of the vendors in the game. Instead, these items are level locked, so you’ll have to complete different missions, or interact with certain NPCs to access these items in Star Wars Outlaws.
