When you are looking to level the Chef profession, the first recipe that you will unlock in Brighter Shores is a Bacon Sandwich which needs both Bread and Bacon as key cooking ingredients. However, the MMO will not tell from where you will be able to get these two items.
This has caused a fair bit of confusion amongst certain players who are serious about their profession as a Chef in the RPG. So here is a guide that will go over everything that you need to know about obtaining and using Bread and Bacon in Brighter Shores.
Obtaining Bread and Bacon in Brighter Shores

You will be able to get your hands on Bread and Bacon by directly purchasing it from Kevin in Brighter Shores. You will find the NPC right outside of the Delectable Dab Restaurant and he will sell you both the items for 200 Copper each.
There is no limit to how much Bread and Bacon you will be able to purchase from him. So feel free to get a good amount as it will eventually help you level your Chef profession.
While obtaining the items is not expensive, it’s still important to look into some of the best ways of making money in the MMO. In the early game, a very reliable way of making Silver will be to invest in the Fisherman profession.
Once you have the Fishing Spear, head over to East Beach and catch some Mottled Flounder. Fill up your inventory with them and then sell them all at once to the Fishmonger. This will give you enough money to stockpile on Bread and Butter.
Bread and Butter uses in Brighter Shores
You will use Bread and Butter to make Bacon Sandwiches in Brighter Shores. It’s one of the earliest recipes that you will unlock which you will need to make to level up the Chef profession. You can make the sandwich by using the kitchen at the Delectable Bad Restaurant.
If you have stockpiled Bread and Bacon, you will be able to make multiple Bacon Sandwiches in one go, thereby significantly boosting the amount of XP you gain for your Chep profession.
Moreover, selling Bacon Sandwiches is a neat way of making money as well. Just sell them to the Head Chef for 560 copper each. This nets you a profit of 160 coins and as you get an infinite supply of bread and Bacon from Kevin you can use this exploit to keep making money in Brighter Shores.
However, after some time gaining more Chef levels will get harder and you will need to move onto recipes that grant more XP when cooked.
