The Fisch phase 2 Winter Update introduced the skin feature in the Roblox Game which allows you to equip cosmetics on all of your fishing rods. It’s a neat little way of customizing your fishing time and as the skins do not affect the stats of the rods, you will now have to worry much about impacting any of their stats.
However, getting the skins that you want in Fish can be rather challenging. So if you are looking to make the most of the system, the guide below will help you out.
How does the rod skin system work in Fisch
With the Winter update- Phase 2, Fisch has introduced many NPCs in the game including the Skin Merchants. They will sell many types of crates to you, each containing a unique skin for a fishing rod.
Each crate type provides a different set of cosmetics with different rarity as well as drop rates. You will find these merchants in each of the major locations below:
- Moosewood Island
- Ancient Isle
- Roslit Bay
- Mushgrove Swamp
- Forsaken Shores
- Snowcap Island
- The Depths
- Desolate Deep
- Desolate Pocket
However, when purchasing crates from them do keep in mind that the skins that you get are not universal. This means that every skin is only suitable for one particular fishing rod.
This is what makes getting the skin for your favorite fishing rod incredibly challenging in Fisch.
Unlocking every rod skin in Fisch
When talking to the Skin Merchants you will only have access to the three following crates in Fisch:
- Moosewood Crate (25,000 C$)
- Desolate Crate (75,000 C$)
- Ancient Isles Crate (175,000 C$)
Once purchased you will be able to access the crates from your inventory. To open it, make sure to take it to your hands and then click anywhere you want.
You will then receive one skin from the crate which you can then apply to your rod through the Equipment menu.
However, do keep in mind that the skin you receive will be based on RNG, and unlike with fishing you will not be able to use items to affect your luck for this. So if you are looking to get your hands on all the od skins, you will need a lot of in-game cash.
