With the latest update, Grow A Garden is not only allowing you to increase the plot size of your farm, but also place cosmetics in them to make them even more appealing. There are a lot of different cosmetics that have been introduced to the Roblox game with the update, however, you will not be able to get access to them right away.
To get a hold of all the decorations and then be able to place them in your farm requires some steps to them. So if you are looking to make the most of this new feature in Grow A Garden, then the guide below will help you out.
How to obtain cosmetics in Grow A Garden
To be able to get your hands on all the decorations in Grow A Garden, you will have to make your way to the Cosmetic Shop. It’s a new NPC stand that has been introduced with the update, and it is placed between the Gear Shop and the Pet Eggs Shop.
Sam is the new NPC who will sell you the decoration, so just walk up to him and press E to find a pop-up window. The window will show a stock of all available cosmetic items that are currently available in the game.
There is a 10-hour restock timer to it, and you will find new cosmetic items getting restocked when the timer is up.
The common cosmetics can only be purchased with Sheckles, however, the Rarer and more Legendary ones have a secondary Robux option.
Additionally, you will also be able to buy cosmetic crates, which will provide you with an assortment of cosmetics. These usually contain the more common decorations. To have a chance of getting the legendary ones, you will need to buy the Exotic Cosmetic Crate, which can only be purchased by using Robux.
How to open cosmetic crates in Grow A Garden
Once you do have a cosmetic crate, you will then be able to open IP by standing near an empty area. Then opening your backpack, selecting the crate, holding it in your hands, and finally placing it in the empty area.
There will now be a 45-second timer on top of the crate, after which they can be opened. So just press and hold E to access all the decorative contents that are inside.

- Fun Crate
- Common Gnome Crate
- Farmer Gnome Crate
- Classic Gnome Crate

How to place Cosmetic Items in your farm in Grow A Garden
Once you have obtained a cosmetic, you will then be able to access it by tapping on the Tools icon, which is at the top left of your screen, and then opening the cosmetic items backpack. Here you will be able to select the item that you want to place.
Alternatively, you can also press and hold the B key to automatically open up the cosmetics inventory.
Once the pop-up is in front of you, you will be able to place cosmetic items and move them in your garden. To do this, you will first need to stand in front of an empty area on your plot, then click on the item from your backpack to automatically place it there.
To be able to move it around, you will need to keep the cosmetic backpack open and then left-click on the decoration that you want to move. You will now have the option to rotate it, store it back in your inventory, or move it from left to right.
There is a fair bit of flexibility to the system, and you will be able to use it to customize your garden in whichever way you want.
