There are four main methods of saving in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2:
1) Sleeping in a bed
The main method of saving in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is to sleep in a bet. This can be done at any given point during your progression as long as you have a bed with you. When you are just starting out, you can buy a bed from the Blacksmith or The Miller when free roam begins in Troskowitz.
Sleeping, for any amount of time, will automatically save your progression. You can then load up that game from the Load Game option from the main menu.
2) Saving before important missions and moments
The game will usually save automatically before an important moment or mission. These are story-based saves and are not something that you can reliably trigger. So it’s best not to depend on it.
3) Saving and quitting
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has a save-and-quit feature that you can use to immediately log in your progress. However, this process creates a one-time save file, which gets deleted after you load it. So it’s not something that you should be looking to use before a big encounter where you know that the odds are against you.
4) Using Saviour Schnapps
The final method to save progress is through the main menu by using Saviour Schnapps. These are very rare items that you will be able to purchase from most merchants. You can also craft Saviour Schnapps like healing potions and brews, but you will first need to know the recipe for it, fortunately, you will have the recipe for it as soon as you get your freedom in Troskowitz,
