The First Berserker Khazan complete leveling guide

Leveling works a bit differently in The First Berserker Khazan when compared to other Soulslike entries of its kind. While the system will help you get Khazan stronger as you progress through the game, the way you acquire more levels in the title is a bit unique.

So if you are looking to level the protagonist and have an easier time progressing through some of the hardest encounters in the action-adventure game, then the guide below will help you out.

How to level up in The First Berserker Khazan

Use Lacrima at the Blade Nexus to level up in The First Berserker Khazan

Leveling in The First Berserker Khazan is tied to a unique resource called Lacrima. Lacrima is very similar to how Souls work in FromSoftware titles; you obtain it by killing enemies, and then drop it upon death, then receive one chance to pick it up again by returning to the spot. Dying again without picking it up will force you to lose all the Lacrima that you have dropped.

However, as mentioned earlier, there is one unique feature to how you can gain more Lacrima in The First Berserker Khazan. It is a new feature in the genre where you gain progressive Lacrima rewards for just attempting boss encounters.

While you gain Lacrima by beating bosses, you will also gain it for just attempting the boss and taking them down to a certain HP threshold. So if you die, as long as you have reached the threshold, you will receive a certain amount a Lacrma from the entrance of the boss arena.

This will let you keep leveling Khazan up by accessing the Blade Nexus before the boss arena. Helping you to progressively have an easier time with the encounter and not having to put the game on the Easy Mode difficulty.

How to farm Lacrima in the early game in The First Berserker Khazan

Phantom Blade in The First Berserker Khazan

You won’t really need to spare some dedicated time to farm lacrima in The First Berserker Khazan. There will be enough of the resource as you progress through the game, so you will never really feel the need to actively look for it.

Bosses are usually the best source of Lacrima in the game; however, if you are looking to farm it diligently in the early game, then the best spot will be the Frozen Mountain. Here, during the Trials of the Frozen Mountain quest, you can start at the Blade Nexus and head towards the Blade Phantom boss area.

Kill all the Volk Warriors along the way and take on the Blade Phantom. However, don’t kill the boss, take it down to half HP and die to it once it changes its phase. You will receive a hefty chunk of Lacrima for it, and you can rinse and repeat the process over and over again.

Note: This will only be effective to a particular level, beyond which the demand for the next stat boost will be very high, and repeating this process will not be enough. You will need to progress the narrative and take on tougher enemies for more Lacrima.
