Grounded 2 is a survival action-adventure game, designed with co-op elements in mind. As a sequel to Grounded, the second entry in the series features much of the same mechanics, but refined and polished to an even greater degree.
Having your tiny companions scout new areas is crucial for survival in this open-world game, and this is where bases come into play. After all, you will require access to food and other natural resources. However, there are only a handful of decent-ish bases in Grounded 2 – which will be discussed in detail below.
Best Bases in Grouded 2

The best bases include:
- Mushrooms on top of the Oak Tree (Entrance): This is a rather unusual spot, and is located close to the Entrance. To build, simply climb up the mushrooms and start placing objects. While noticeably prettier to look at, the added verticality may be a challenge.
- Grassy Rock (Entrance): This spot is located right beside the Mushrooms, and has access to the same amount of food resources and raw materials – but without the added verticality disadvantage. This is a flat, grassy terrain. Beware of hostile bugs though.
- Picnic Table (Wooden Post): There are quite a few wooden posts near the Picnic Table, which should offer you a great spot to start building your base. It’s also very easy to spot and offers a substantial amount of resources nearby.
- Juice Box (Picnic Table): You can find quite a few juice boxes scattered around the Picnic Table as well. This is a really cool-looking location, with access to a ton of resources. Unfortunately, building here might prove to be a challenge, given its odd location and the presence of low-level enemies nearby.
- Miniature Stonehenge (Ice Cream Cart): The miniature Stonehenge is undoubtedly the coolest-looking location in all of Grounded 2, found near the Ice Cream Cart (at the far south-east section of the map). The region also has a ton of resources, and has a flat terrain that should be great to build on.
This wraps it up for the best bases in Grounded 2. As always, feel free to experiment and discover new bases on your own!
