Satirical arcade game takes a shot at how Trump has downplayed death and suffering in the Iran War

A couple of days ago, three arcade games with fully functioning cabinets were installed in the DC War Memorial, which aimed to mock Operation Epic Fury and take a shot at how President Trump had been downplaying death and suffering in the Iran War.

Ever since the US first launched its strikes in Iran earlier this February, Trump and his administration have been celebrating their advances by posting montages on social media. These clips were from movies like Gladiator and games like Call of Duty, so, unsurprisingly, they came off as pretty tone-deaf and immature, with many mocking and criticizing the White House.

The arcade cabinets are the latest installment of the anti-Trump protest art, and you will get a chance to play “Operation Epic Furious: Strait to Hell” in them. The game is also available online and seeks to mock President Trump’s decisions and the messages that he has been sending to the public in light of the prolonged war.

The group that has claimed responsibility for the cabinet is an anonymous artist collective called Secret Handshake. They are also the ones behind other protests near the National Mall, which include a giant birthday card for Jeffrey Epstein and a Golden Toilet that mocks the recent White House renovations.

Operation Epic Furious: Strait to Hell is surprisingly good

Operation Epic Furious Strait to Hell dialogs

While a satirical arcade game, the really neat part about Operation Epic Furious: Straight to Hell is that it’s actually very fun to play.

The game begins with you playing as the president, trying to spread misinformation as much as possible and campaigning against inclusion rights, diversity, and equality, and going as far as to disagree with the Pope.

You can then engage in a mock-up of the Iran War in real time by completing missions from administration officials, which include Vice President Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, FBI Director Kash Patel, and more.

You even get the option to stock up on oil, as it’s one of the core objectives in winning the game.

However, there is no form of guns or shooting involved in Operation Epic Furious: Straight to Hell, as the makers of the game wanted to keep it free of any violence. But you can see pixelated explosions in the background.

The core objective of the game is to collect Truth Social posts in order to open the Strait of Hormuz.

When the game starts, you get prompts like,

“another big beautiful day as the best President ever.”

“Introducing … a high-octane, flag-waving, boots-on-the-ground simulator where freedom isn’t debated, it’s deployed.’

“No briefings, no hesitation, just pure pixelated patriotism. Strap in and play hard, because this game may never end.”

This perfectly satirizes the current situation of the Trump administration and how the president is engaged in a never-ending war while feeding people false propaganda about the situation that the US is in.
