In a recent podcast interview with host Elizabeth Day, actress Emilia Clarke opened up about why she decided to stay away from plastic surgery or any other form of cosmetic procedure
Throughout the interview, she spoke very candidly about aging, Botox, filler sand more, stating that once you start, it’s very hard to stop.
Her honest opinions on the matter are like a breath of fresh air for many in the community, with many praising her for having this stance, despite the pressure Hollywood puts on their actors when it comes to maintaining a certain beauty standard.
And while she herself is against any sort of cosmetic enhancement, Clarke was very clear on one point that she will not judge those who eventually wind up getting these treatments.
Game of Thrones actor will never go for cosmetic enhancements
In the podcast, Clarke states the following when asked if she would go for cosmetic enhancements herself,
“Women shouild do whatever they want to do for themselves to feel good and feel beautiful. But I do believe that we just are beautiful. You know? You just are. The thing that I worry about is I think that one procedure can lead to another — where does it end?”
She continues, “I don’t wanna judge anyone for making any choices about whatever makes them feel good. But I hope that they are making the choices from a place of what they- you want, you know what I mean?”
This podcast was not the first time that she spoke up about these things. The actor has often promoted self-confidence and natural beauty throughout her career, starting with Game of Thrones.
And while over the years, she was advised to consider preventive fillers once she reached her late twenties, she chose not to pursue any form of enhancements.
Her stance in the podcast has touched a lot of fans, with many praising her for embracing natural aging and self-acceptance.
What makes it even more special is that it comes at a time when conversations around Botox, fillers, and plastic surgeries have become an ever-growing trend in the entertainment business, with a lot of appearance pressure being piled on actors.
