Diablo 4 players discover new Burning Aether farm method

Burning Aether is the currency that you’ll come across while defeating monsters in the Infernal Hordes mode in Diablo 4 Season 5. You’ll need these Burning Aethers to unlock Spoils of Hell after you’ve defeated the Fell Council.

Since you’ll be farming this mode a lot, you’ll be looking to get as many Burning Aether as you can, to unlock the most amount of Spoils. While you’ll get the currency anyway, there’s an efficient route to farm these items.

How to farm Burning Aether efficiently in Diablo 4 Season 5

As mentioned on Reddit by ‘dundliman’, your choice of Infernal Gifts can make or break your Infernal Hordes farming run in Diablo 4 Season 5.

To make the most out of your run, here’s what you need to do:

  • The very first thing that you need to do is identify the strengths and weaknesses of your build before attempting a run, because that will greatly influence how profitable your run will be.
    • For example, if you’re running a build that is good with AoE clears but doesn’t have great single target damage, you need to focus on events where the enemy density is very high, rather than the Hellborne events, where you’ll have to take down one boss to get Burning Aether.
  • Identify the cap for each wave, and make sure you pick the same type of boons so that your run is profitable.
  • There are three types of boons and five types of events. Of these the Hellborne and the Lords boons will always be profitable and is something that you should be looking to go for.
  • Once you’re done with the run, always avoid the Equipment spoils because the RNG mechanic governs the entire reward structure, so it’s best if you look at the Materials spoils or the Gold spoils, because these two are the most important resources that you’ll need while progressing through the game.

Finally, although it’s important to play to your strengths depending on what level you are, if you’ve got a maxed out build, it’s always important that you go for Tier 8 runs.

Those runs are the most profitable and will help you make the most out of your Infernal Hordes run in Diablo 4 Season 5, especially when you’re looking to farm Burning Aether.
