Hellbreaches are a new dungeon type that was introduced in Diablo 4 with the Season 5, Season of the Infernal Hordes update. They are a core part of progression in the new Seasonal Journey and they form a sort of an introductory mission that introduces you to the Infernal Hordes mechanic.
You unlock the actual Infernal Hordes dungeons in World Tier 3. But before you raise world difficulty the Hellbreaches make for the perfect practice ground where you try out everything that the new season has to offer.
Here is a guide on how you can find and complete Hellbreach dungeons in Diablo 4 Season 5 Season of the Infernal Hordes.
Where to find Hellbreaches in Diablo 4 Season of the Infernal Hordes?

To find Hellbreaches you will need to look for the green leaf icons that are located in the following regions in Sanctuary:
- Dry Steppes
- Kehjistan
- Scosglen
Content that is marked with a green leaf icon around the map is a part of the new season. Additionally, in the early stages of the Seasonal Journey, you will notice that Hellbreaches are the only dungeons in Sanctuary that are marked with the green leaf icon.
These dungeons are also found in fixed locations and the very first one that you get to try out and complete is the Omath Breach. You will find it to the southeast of Omath’s Redoubt in Kehjistan.
They can be a bit challenging based on the class and the build that you have gone for. However, unlike Helltides in Diablo 4, you will get to head inside Hellbreaches and reset the whole dungeon multiple times as long as you have completed it.
How to complete Hellbreach Dungeons in Diablo 4 Season 5
Once you start a Hellbreach Dungeon, your objective is quite simple. Make your way through the hordes of enemies that spawn and collect Burning Aether as you travel deeper in.
You will find a lot of Soulspires along the way that you need to destroy. Eliminate the demons that are inside the circle to directly damage the spire. Once you have destroyed it you will receive Burning Aethers as well as Mother’s Gifts as some of the drops.
Collecting Burning Aethers is the main objective of the dungeon and once you have enough of them you will get to choose modifiers before you reach the final boss room. These modifiers can increase the difficulty of the final boss encounter.
If your build is good enough, we suggest you increase the difficulty. By doing this you significantly raise the rarity of the rewards that you get, and you will have a much easier time farming Legendary Aspects as well as Uniques if you are lucky.
