As Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix approaches its end, the Legacy Tactical Assault Rifle has emerged as a top pick among players.
The developers added it to the game last week alongside other long-range weapons such as the Hunting Rifle and Heavy AR.
The Chapter 2 Remix map is fairly big and most POIs have plenty of blank areas. As a result, you’d want to have weapons that excel in mid and long-range and the Legacy Tactical AR is optimal for it due to minimal recoil, steady damage output, and a 30-bullet magazine.
It makes the most sense to compare the Legacy Tactical Assault Rifle to RG’s Minigun. The Mythic variant dropped by Eminem deals 21 damage and the infinite magazine makes it broken for shredding opponents.

It’s best to avoid using the Legacy Tactical Assault Rifle in close-range battles. You can initiate the exchange with a shotgun or SMG and then switch to the AR to finish off the opponent.
Honestly, I prefer the Legacy Tactical Assault Rifle over similar Fortnite weapons with high accuracy and less recoil because of the way it functions. The handling is easy and more such weapons should be added to the standard pool.
For modes like Zero Build, it makes sense to reward players with rifles that have accurate projectile mechanics.
The meta also feels fresh if you have options without a high skill ceiling. As someone who mostly plays for leisure, I’d always pick a Legacy Tactical Assault Rifle that is simple and accurate over a flashy Mythic that would be useful only when I spend time understanding its handling.
