How to collect bars while inside of a Bank vault in Fortnite

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 is live and after a hunting-heavy Season 1, the game expects you to become proficient in money heists this time. Unsurprisingly, there’s a quest based on collecting bars while you’re looting Bank Vaults.

Finding these vaults, breaking them open, and then collecting bars is not as straightforward as it seems, so here’s a rundown of how to complete this quest in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2.

Bank Vault locations in Fortnite

The first step is to find a Bank Vault on the Fortnite map, and there are four locations where you can find them. They’ve been marked in the image below:

The four locations are Lonewolf Lair, Seaport City Bank, Crime City Bank, and Masked Motorway Bank. Although all banks have slightly different structures, it is easy to spot a vault because, well, it looks like a vault and you’ll require thermite to open it.

How to collect thermite

Although thermite can be easily found as floor loot in Fortnite, you would want to collect it from vending machines or newly added Go Bags to complete yet another XP quest. The Go Bags and vending machines that drop thermite are generally found in locations with Bank Vaults, as marked in the image above.

Now that you have the thermite and have found the Bank Vault, all that is left to do is place it on the vault door and blast it open. Inside, you’ll find tons of gold bars, chests, and a dill bit that can be spent in the Black Market for amazing loot.

Just be careful about two things. The Bank Vault locations are fairly populated with not just other players trying to complete their quests but also NPCs guarding the bank. So, make sure that you don’t end up getting eliminated amidst the chaos.

On top of that, to complete this quest, we don’t think it’s necessary to break the vault yourself. Even if you visit the vault later in the game and someone has already opened it, try going inside and collecting any leftover gold bars to complete this quest.
