How to get Boons in Fortnite: Sprites & Sprite Shrines locations

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, themed Demon Hunters, is finally upon us with a bunch of new mechanics such as Boons, Sprites, and Sprite Shrines. By finding these elements on the map, you can not only boost your chances of survival but also get a ton of XP.

The Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass offers a wide variety of original and crossover skins, so you certainly wouldn’t want to miss out on the XP from quests.

To help you complete the weekly quests and make the most of new Chapter 6 content, here’s how to get Boons in Fortnite and find Sprites and Sprite Shrines.

All Boons in Fortnite & how to get them

You can get Boons in Fortnite by bringing back Sprites to Sprite Shrines. As of now, the following Boons exist in the game:

Boon In FortniteEffect
FireYou reload your weapons faster.
WaterYou and your teammates obtain health and shields while swimming.
WindYour movement speed increases while your pickaxe is out.
VoidLocations of nearby opponents appear when you eliminate someone.

It is worth noting that beating bosses in POIs and opening Elemental Chests can also help you get Boons. The buffs you obtain through them last even after elimination, making you a top priority for Reboots.

Where to find Sprites & Sprite Shrines in Fortnite

Sprites and Sprite Shrines are spread all over the map in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, and finding them is fairly easy because the shrines shoot a vibrant white beam toward the sky.

While there are way too many Sprite Shrines on the map to mark them all individually, here are some locations to narrow down your search:

  • Giant turtle southeast of Whiffy Wharf
  • Near the road on the northern end of Magic Mosses
  • East of Burd
  • On the small island adjoining Shogun’s Solitude
  • Amidst the trees in the southwestern jungle in Magic Mosses

Interacting with a Sprite Shrine reveals the nearby Sprites. This isn’t compulsory to find them, though, as the magical creatures are luminant enough and run around continuously, attracting attention.

After interacting with a Sprite, you can either utilize its buff directly or return it to a Shrine to activate a Boon and also get some high-level loot.

I haven’t stumbled upon a lot of Sprite Shrines in the middle of POIs but it could’ve been due to the distracting chaos that usually occurs in these areas.

And because Sprite Shrines are busy points of interest anyway, it’s best to interact with the ones in rather secluded locations.

All Sprites & their abilities

As of Chapter 6 Season 1, you can find and gain buffs from the following Sprites in Fortnite:

  • Earth Sprite – You get loot by feeding this Sprite.
  • Air Sprite – When you toss this Sprite on land, it creates a vortex that shoots you in the air and lets you deploy the glider. It also damages builds and launches vehicles.
  • Water Sprite – This Sprite consumes a slot of your inventory while providing you with shields and heals.

Well, that’s everything to know about Boons, Sprites, and Sprite Shrines in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1. It’s time to get your buffs and dominate the lobbies!
