How to open the Nightshift Forest vault in Fortnite

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 has a brand-new map, and the Nightshift Forest is undeniably one of the most interesting locations on it. The thick flora creates a suspicious environment and to survive the attackers, you’ll need the best loot possible.

Luckily, there’s a secret vault in the POI that can instantly grant you everything necessary to win a game. If you’re yet to solve this mystery, here’s how to open the Nightshift Forest secret vault in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1.

How to get Nightshift Forest Vault Key in Fortnite

You can get the Nightshift Forest Vault Key in Fortnite by showing a Water Sprite to the Bushranger NPC. There are a bunch of Sprite Shrines scattered around the forest so finding the Sprite shouldn’t take long.

You can make the process more efficient by looking for white beams of light emitted by Sprite Shrines. Then, interact with any of these structures to reveal the nearby Sprites. The image below should explain this better:

Do note that Bushranger doesn’t have a fixed location in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1. He mostly spawns on the top or bottom edges of the crescent lake beside Nightshift Forest or on the eastern edge of the POI, and if he’s nowhere to be found, someone must have eliminated the NPC.

Bushranger’s potential spawn locations have been marked in this image:

Once you get the Vault Key, the only thing left to do is to reach the secret vault safely. On the location marked in the image below, you’ll find stairs leading to the underground vault. With the key in your inventory, you’ll get the option to open it.

Inside the Nightshift Forest secret vault, you’ll get tons of amazing loot such as a Typhoon Blade, Elemental & Rare Chests, Slurp Barrels, ammo, and more. Rare chests only drop Epic and Legendary weapons so you’ll likely get a great set of weapons too.

To be fair, unlocking the Nightshift Forest vault is not as easy as it seems, especially in Ranked lobbies. So, it’s best to first gather decent loot to defend yourself in sticky situations.
