All Buddha’s Eyeball locations in Black Myth Wukong and how to use them

As you progress through the narrative in Black Myth Wukong and reach the Fright Cliff region, you will get to collect Buddha’s Eyeballs. You will notice that there are chanting heads of a Buddha statue lying on the ground in certain locations of the region.

When you interact with it, the Destined One will pluck out a Buddha’s Eyeball from them. There are a total of 6 eyeballs that you will be able to collect as you round out the chapter, and these are used specifically to summon a secret boss.

As mentioned, there are a total of 6 eyeballs that you can get, here is a list of them all and their locations:

Buddha’s Eyeball #1You will find the first one at the very start of the Fright Cliff. It’s a short distance away from the “Squall Hideout” Keeper’s Shrine which marks the start of the new region.
You reach Fright Cliff after defeating the King of Flowing Sands and the Second Prince at the end of Sandgate Village.
Buddha’s Eyeball #2For the second eyeball, you will need to take the left path from the Squall Hideout. You will see a cave behind an archway as well as the statue of a crouching man.
From here head left around the statute. You will notice a shrine area where the next Buddha’s Eyeball is tucked away. 
Buddha’s Eyeball #3You will find the next eye at the top of a wooden scaffolding located near the Squall Hideout Shrine. Go right from it till you see three paths. Take the on the right which is guarded by several enemies.
You will eventually find a set of stairs with a chest. From here keep moving till you reach a set of wooden platforms. Get on it and reach the end to get the next pair of eyes.
Buddha’s Eyeball #4You will be able to spot the fourth eyeball from the location of the third one. Just look over the wooden scaffolding and you will notice it.
To reach it, you will need to go right from the Squall Hideout Shrine. Then take the path on the left that hugs the cliffside. Now keep going straight and you will eventually find the Buddha’s head.
Buddha’s Eyeball #5Take the path where you found the fourth eyeball but this time travel to the very end and then turn left into a cave where you will spot a shield-wielding Spearbone enemy.
Once in the cave, head right till you find the Rockerest Flat Shrine. From here take the left to the upper level of the cave. The path ends in the Mother of Stones boss arena, however, you will need to head right from the cavern to reach a balcony where the head is resting.
Buddha’s Eyeball #6The final Buddha’s Eyeball in Black Myth Wukong can be found to the left of the Rockrest Flat Shrine. You will need to reach the end of the cave at the very center of the Fright Cliff.
So just head left from the shrine, and you will eventually reach the final eyeball.

How to use Buddha’s Eyeballs in Black Myth Wukong

Once you have obtained all of the Buddha’s Eyeballs in Black Myth Wukong you will need to take them to the Stone Vanguard boss arena which is pretty close to where you found the sixth eyeball.

The next step will be to beat the Stone Vanguard Yaoguai boss. Once it’s down, you will spot a large boulder close to the arena entrance. Go up to it and interact with it to place all 6 of Buddha’s Eyeballs into it.

Once the eyeballs are in place, you will be able to successfully spawn the secret boss Shigandang. Upon beating it, you will be able to claim the following rewards:

  • Heart of Stone: Used to craft the Cloud-Pattern Stone Staff weapon
  • Skandha of Feeling: A unique item that fulfills a specific purpose in the late-game

Shingandang comes with a lot of AoE abilities so make sure you have the best weapons and armor sets for the encounter.
