Avowed release date, time and all editions

Microsoft’s upcoming fantasy RPG, Avowed, launches some time later next week. However, depending on whether you have purchased the pricier Premium Edition, you might be entitled to some perks – such as an earlier access date to the full build of the game.

When does Avowed release?

Standard Edition

The base, standard version of Avowed releases on launch day – that is, February 18, 2025. This date is applicable for all supported platforms (PC, Xbox Series X/S). The Standard Edition refers to the $70 copy of the game.

Premium Edition (early access)

Players who have purchased the Premium Edition will gain Advanced Access, which lets them play a whole 4 days ahead of the game’s official launch – that is, on February 14, 2025. A list of common time zones with adjusted release timings can be found detailed below:

Preload sizes for Avowed

The preload for Avowed is currently live, and requires the following download sizes, depending on your platform of choice:

• Xbox Series X/S: 72.30 GB
• PC (Game Pass): 74 GB

Keep in mind that there is no pre-load available for the Steam version as of the time of writing this article.

All Avowed editions

• Standard Edition: This is the base, $70 bundle of the game. Comes with a copy of the game and its usual pre-order bonuses.
• Premium Edition: Contains the base game, two premium skin packs and access to the game’s digital soundtrack and artbook. This edition costs $89.99 and is also available in a physical version – which curiously lacks a disc of any kind.
• You can also ‘upgrade’ to the Premium Digital Edition by spending an additional $24.99.

The game will also be available to play via Xbox Game Pass day one.
