Oblivion Remastered is finally here, after months of rumors, leaks and the like. The RPG is built on top of the often controversial Unreal Engine 5, which should make modifying its game files relatively easy.
This naturally brings with it the possibility of mod support, of which Oblivion Remastered has managed to garner quite an impressive number of already. Some of the best mods for the game can be found listed below, in no particular order.
Top 5 mods for Oblivion Remastered
1) No-HUD-No-Effects

As the name implies, this particular mod can be used to toggle the HUD and certain in-game effects, such as the blood vignette. This can result in a more ‘immersive’ experience for many, even if it might leave gameplay bits feeling a little handicapped.
2) Skip Intro Screens

Having to waste a precious few seconds looking at the Bethesda Game Studios logo, along with the Virtuos one as well, can be a little infuriating. To make matters worse, none of these logos are skippable by default.
This is where the Skip Intro Screens mod comes into play. As the name implies, it lets players skip the intro sequence and boot directly into the game.
3) Re-Enable Achievements

Adding in additional mods can sometimes break achievements in games, and Oblivion Remastered is no exception. To fix this, the Re-Enable Achievements mod applies a custom python script to re-enable achievements for all of your save files.
You might need to re-run this script to re-enable achievements from time to time.
4) Oblivion Game Pass Save Importer

This experimental mod lets players import save files from the Xbox Game Pass version of the title to other platforms. This is particularly useful if you are planning on migrating from the PC Game Pass version of the game to Steam.
5) Lumen Begone – Disable RT for better performance

Oblivion Remastered runs on top of Unreal Engine 5, which makes it a surprisingly demanding title. To make matters worse, the game employs a software version of ray tracing that cannot be disabled by default.
This is where the Lumen Begone mod comes into play. In short, it lets players disable Lumen RT entirely – boosting performance by a wide margin.
