Like a limited number of weapons, every class in Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 features four kinds of grenades, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. You unlock these as you progressively level up.
If you want to gain an edge over other players in Eternal War or fight the bosses in-game, carrying the correct grenade and the perfect class is essential.
So, if you want to pick the best grenade in Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 out of these four, here’s everything you need to know about them.
4. Melta Bomb
Including Melta Bomb in the fourth position might surprise many people because it has the highest area of effect and damage output compared to the others. However, Melta Bomb is included here because using it depends on the player’s survival.

This equipment requires players to trigger it at their will to make it detonate. While that sounds cool on paper and it has some strategic value, it comes with more disadvantages.
Given how fast-paced the matches are in Space Marine 2 and how susceptible players are to getting ganged up by the opponents, there’s a very high chance that you will die even before you get a chance to use the grenade.
3. Frag Grenade
Coming in at the third position of our list is the Frag Grenade, which is one of the standard grenades you’ll start with in Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2. The explosion has a decent area of effect, and some intelligent throws will take out your opponents.

However, it’s easy to dodge the grenade’s blast radius because it detonates a few seconds after you throw it or even after impact
2. Krak Grenade
In the second spot comes the Krak Grenade, a sticky grenade in Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2. It has a detonation time similar to that of a Frag grenade but with a smaller blast radius.

Krak Grenade is a simple grenade that has a smaller blast radius but higher damage output because it is extremely easy to stick on an enemy’s body, dealing some hefty damage to them in closer proximity.
The only real trouble of using this grenade over other grenades in Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 is that your opponent or enemy can rush towards you while the grenade is ready to explode.
However, the chances of that happening to you are pretty slim because, by the time the player even thinks about this idea, he will probably be respawning.
1. Shock Grenade
At the top comes the Shock Grenade. Some might call it a pretty useless grenade, but I’ve seen its usefulness in multiple Eternal War matches throughout the last few days, making it one of my go-to grenades in-game.

Shock Grenade produces a shock field at the place where the grenade is thrown, which damages and incapacitates enemies if they’re caught in it. While it is very easy to dodge the shock field of the grenade, Eternal War maps have multiple choke points where you can chuck these grenades and prevent the enemy from pushing into your zones.
