Diablo 4 Season 8 Belial’s Return Launch Date, New Reliquary System, More

After a two week delay, Diablo 4 Season 8 is finally set to see Belial’s Return to the Sanctuary. Starting from gameplay changes to new mechanics, Blizzard has introduced a lot of changes that are set to come to this season.

However, the key highlight of this season continues to be the big bad that’s being introduced. With Belial coming in, it’s only a matter of time till Diablo also joins forces with his two brothers.

While the overarching seasonal storyline hasn’t been very impactful, Diablo 4 Season 8 could have an impact because it’s bringing in a Prime Evil after the events that occured in Vessel of Hatred.

When does Diablo 4 Season 8 launch?

Diablo 4 Season 8 is set to go live on April 29, at 10 AM PDT. Blizzard has maintained this standard time for almost every season of theirs, and that time isn’t changing anytime soon.

If there were any changes to the said timings, then the developers would’ve updated on their official forums and social media channels. Since there’s no information so far, it’s likely that the timings are not changing anytime soon.

New Diablo 4 Battle Pass Reliquary System

Diablo 4 Season 8 is getting a major overhaul with respect to its Battle Pass system. The devs have abandoned the old linear progressing pass and have replaced it with a new pass with mini segments called Reliquaries.

Diablo 4 Reliquary System

These Reliquaries are divided into cosmetics and each are priced differently. However, if you purchase the premium Battle Pass, you’ll have access to all the four reliquaries together. It’s an interesting concept, and will ensure that you don’t miss out the cosmetics that you want to acquire.

Boss Powers

The key highlight of this season is the temporary boss powers that you can get your hands on. From Ashava’s poison breath to Wandering Death’s chest beam, you’ll be able to pick up everything and use them for yourself.

Not only does this add a new layer to buildcrafting, it’ll also give you a reason to chase world bosses and lair bosses in Diablo 4 Season 8.

Bosses across different difficulties drop different boss powers, which gives you more reason to push for higher difficulties, making the endgame feel more valuable.
