Diablo 4 Season 5 has had a smooth launch, but this is probably the only time players will be happy to encounter a bug while progressing through the game.
Whenever you start a new season, you need to create a new character, which means you need to start leveling up from scratch again.
And as noted by a player on Reddit, there’s a bug in the game which will give you a whopping 34 level boost, helping you jump through multiple levels instantly in Diablo 4 Season 5.
Neamis was severely confused when they saw their character jump from Level 29 to Level 63 after defeating the Blood Bishop, Nilcar, at the Kor Dragan Stronghold.
Considering that it wasn’t a normal jump, the OP was slightly worried about it, and had a feeling that they would get banned. Players responded to him and said, “If you’re worried about action against your account, I’d take preemptive steps and report the bug!”
Others tried to replicated the bug, but with no luck on that front which shows that it’s a one off incident in Diablo 4 Season 5. One player said, “Just did it on ps5, necro level 52, 1 Xp pot, 1 ash in XP on wt3 and got normal XP,” while another added, “Just tried it in a party of 2. Level 25 and 26. WT2. Didn’t work.”
A third player said, “Imagine this happening to a new player. It would very confusing having all that skill points and paragon in an instant lol.”
It could either be that the bug needs some really specific conditions to trigger, which somehow the OP met or that the developers have silently removed it before players could exploit it.
Either way, it’s safe to state that such bugs are harmless, and they increase player engagement by a certain degree too.
