EA FC 25 PC vs Console: Which platform is better?

EA FC 25 is going to be available on PC and consoles, and it could be a tough choice for some who have access to multiple platforms.

Since the last couple of years, EA Sports has upgraded the PC version to current-gen, and it now gets the same features as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Additionally, there are few benefits that are exclusive on PC. But are those benefits enough for you to choose PC, or should you prefer to play on consoles?

EA FC 25 PC benefits

The biggest advantage of playing on PC is the ability to choose more than 60 FPS. In fact, you can set it as unlimited if your hardware is capable enough. Again, you can restrict your FPS to 30 if your hardware isn’t good enough.

The UI is also much smoother due to the ability to run things at higher FPS. Of course, this might not be a big issue for many players. But if you’re a hardcore grinder, viewing a smoother UI makes life easier.

A PC also allows you to use a wider choice of control methods. You can play with a keyboard, but it isn’t the optimal choice. Unlike consoles, you can choose between a wide list of third-party controllers that run just fine on PCs.

Additionally, you can enjoy plenty of mods on PC. Mods allow you to bypass limitations that are caused by factors like licenses or the lack of them.

With mods, you can ensure that footballers have authentic scanned faces inside the game. Mods also allow you to update squads, and add more teams which might not be available inside the official game.

EA FC 25 console benefits

The console version has some limitations for sure, but it’s more optimized. Unlike PCs, consoles have standard hardware. Naturally, it’s easier to optimize the game for the developers.

Sure, consoles can also have bugs, but the severity of it pales in comparison to PC. For example, EA FC 24 had severe issues with the EA Anti-Cheat last year, while console users didn’t have to suffer from it.

If you’re on the PlayStation, you can access free tournaments on a daily basis. Yes, you might not win all of them, but they’re a great way to earn FC Points, which is the game’s premium currency. Xbox users can change the location of their consoles, and have quicker access to gameplay.

The PC version is superior, but you can enjoy it all if you have good hardware. While the requirements of EA FC 25 are low, the lack of optimizations can be a potential nightmare. It can be a frustrating experience for some at the beginning of the game. With the console version, you’ll avoid all such troubles in the first place.
