All we know about Elden Ring Nightreign so far

So far, Nightreign is shaping up to be a standalone title set in the Elden Ring universe. It is tailor made to craft a ‘new experience’, with a heavy focus on multiplayer. Multiplayer sections have always been a part of prior FromSoftware titles (including Elden Ring) – but this would be the first time that a game developed specifically from the ground up for online co-op.
Besides the threat of hostile players, you can also expect glorious battles against the usual, punishing bosses FromSoftware has become renowned for in recent years.
Additionally, there will also be a unique, ‘environmental threat’ that will sweep across the map, offering new scenarios depending on the time of day. Players will have to work together to defeat a particular boss of night. This sounds fairly similar to dungeon raids, but coupled with the usual flair associated with FromSoft.
Players will also be able to play solo or even team up with other players across the globe to take on the creeping night. Nightreign supports up to 3-play simultaneous co-op, which means you and a party of 2 additional members can play together.
You can also expect a variety of heroes or Classes, with each Class possessing its own unique perks, weaknesses and niches.
Each Class comes equipped with its own set of abilities which can be used to overpower enemies. However, like any good co-op raid game, Nightreign encourages teamwork – which should make tackling tougher foes a fair bit easier.
Elden Ring: Nightreign launches sometime in 2025.
