With the latest update to Elden Ring Nightreigh, FromSoft added the Everdark Sovereign encounters, which make the game considerably difficult.
These are brand new encounters that you can launch from the Roundtable hold, but ofcourse there are a few requirements you need to meet first.
Apart from increasing the level of difficulty, the Everdark Sovereign update has also introduced a plethora of rewards, but not in the way you’d expect to see them.
What is the Everdark Sovereign in Elden Ring Nightreign?
The Everdark Sovereign in Elden Ring Nightreign is a more difficult expedition that you can access from the Roundtable Hold. While the activity itself will remain the same, the bosses that you face are likely to rotate on a weekly basis.
From June 19 till June 26, you will face Adel, Baron of the Night (Gaping Jaw), a Nightlord you face during one of the expeditions in Elden Ring Nightreign.
While it’s unclear if a new Nightlord will replace the Gaping Maw after this period, but Bandai Namco has confirmed that Sentient Pest and Darkdrift Knight are set to make an appearance soon.
How to Get the Everdark Sovereign Encounter
To get to the Everdark Sovereign encounter, you need to first complete the base boss encounter. Unless you complete that, you won’t find the enhanced encounter at the Roundtable Hold.
However, it’s likely that you’ll still need to own the deluxe edition to have access to the new content. If you check the description on Steam then you’ll see that it’s the deluxe edition that gives you access to more bosses.
Additionally, you might also need to complete a few remembrance quests for all your characters.
Once you’ve unlocked them all, you can face the enchanced boss by launching the encounter from the Roundtable Hold. Here’s what’s different in these encounters:
- The boss encounter starts in the second phase of the fight, and these bosses have increased health and additional resistance to status effects.
- After you’ve reduced their health to about 50%, they start dishing out new attacks and some of them can also dish out status effects on you too if you’re not careful.
All Everdark Sovereign Encounter Rewards
When you defeat an Everdark Sovereign boss, you receive a special currency known as Sovereign Sigils. After you’ve defeated your first boss, make your way back to the Roundtable Hold.
Here, you should find a brand new NPC who will sell you some really powerful Relics. Additionally, this NPC will also trigger Shifting Earth events for you in exchange for these Sigils.
