The first patch for Elden Ring Nightreign is now available, past the (currently ongoing) update for the same. For the uninitiated, Elden Ring Nightreign is currently undergoing maintenance of sorts, in preparation of this particular update.
Developer FromSoftware has already shared the patch notes for this particular update. More on these patch notes, and what they entail in the sections below.
Elden Ring Nightreign full patch notes for version 1.01
As mentioned within the official website, this update targets all currently available platforms. They include the PlayStation (PS4 and PS5), Xbox (Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S) and PC (Steam).
The update targets gameplay stability, along with some improvements over quality of life features. The patch contents are described as follows:
- Improved handling of playable characters.
- Soundtrack addition and adjustments.
- Text adjustments.
- Balance adjustments.
- Added character scenarios.
- Bug fixes.
The exact nature of these updates remains unknown as of the time of writing this article. It might be better to wait until the game goes live, and make necessary observations then.
You can confirm that the update has been applied correctly by checking the right hand bottom corner of the main menu UI.
You should have an ‘App Ver. 1.01’ and ‘RegulationVer. 1.01.1’ written here.
For those using the Steam version of the game (PC), there might be a few issues in launching the title. To resolve this, head on over to Library > Elden Ring Nightreign > (right click) Properties > Installed Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files.
Wait for the verification to complete. The installer should automatically detect and patch missing files if so required.
Additionally, it has been confirmed that newer GPUs exhibit irregular frame rate drops in the game. While there is still no fix for this, players can either drop their settings to Medium/Low, or update GPU drivers.
