With the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, Elden Ring introduced several new bosses to RPG. While there are some returning bosses from the base game like the Tree Sentinel, there are many unique ones that are bound to give you a run for your money.
Below is a list of all the bosses that you will come across in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, their location, and the rewards they drop after defeating them.
All Main Bosses in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
Divine Beast Dancing Lion

Rellana dual-wields swords and will also use Glintstone sorceries throughout the fight. The boss is very aggressive and much like Pontiff from Dark Souls 3, she will light up her swords with magic and flame after reaching a particular HP threshold.
Putrescent Knight

The Putrescent Knight is another Astel-like boss that you will find in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. It’s a star creature but unlike Astel it rides a horse. It’s one of the easier main bosses in the game. The moves are predictable and easy to dodge, however, the boss does hit like a truck.
Commander Gaius

Commander Gaius is a mounted boar rider who like Radahn will mix regular weapon swings with gravitational magic. His Lance attacks can be a bit tricky to dodge however, with some practice, you will get the hand off it.
Bayle the Dread

Bayle is the Ancient Dragon that you will find at the top of the Jagged Peak. He is significantly harder than Placidusax and Fortissax and comes with a variety of one-shot combos.
Romina, Saint of the Bud

A good way of dealing with this boss in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is to stick close to her body. Her weird body shape makes it hard for her glaive swings to hit you if you are close to her torso. So if you stick to her body and bring some anti-Rot items and spells to the fight, you should be having an easier time.
Messmer the Impaler

Depending don’t the type of build you are going for, Mesmer can either be exceedingly difficult or easy. He is very mobile and aggressive throughout the fight, and he takes that aggression up several notches in the second phase. Faster weapons will make this fight more manageable.
Scadutree Avatar

The Scadutree Avatar is like a giant shadow sunflower that deals with a variety of thrown spells and shadow magic. Keeping your distance from it will make the fight a bit tougher. So make sure to close the gap and keep attacking the head to break its poise and get a Riposte.
You will have to kill the boss three times, however, it will revive with a third less health with every revive.
Metyr, Mother of Fingers

Make sure you are completing Count Ymir’s quest in the Cathedral of Manus Metyr if you are looking to encounter this boss. It’s part of the quest line progression and the boss is like a cosmic hand creature and has a pretty unique set of moves.
Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame

This boss is a bit hard to find in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree as you will have to make your way to Scadu Altus through the Shadow Keep and descend down the river to the Abyss Woods. The first phase of the fight is pretty underwhelming, but it’s when Midra transforms does his damage and attack speed get dialed up to eleven.
Radahn, Consort of Miquella

This is Radahn in his prime and in the first phase, he will have a lot of moves that are similar to the ones in the base game. However, he goes into a super state in phase two and starts dealing a lot of AoE attacks that can completely wipe out your HP.

Furnace Golems

There are eight of the giants that you will find in the open world:
- One past the Scorched Ruins in the Gravesite Plain
- To the southern end of Ellac River
- Right before the Shadow Keep in Scadu Altus.
- To the east Scadu Altus along the road that leads to the Church District
- From the western rampart of the Shadow Keep you will need to head west side of the upper Rauh Ruins.
- Right in front of the Castle Watering Hole Site of Grace located in the lower Scadu Altus.
- For the final one, you will need to go west of Charo’s Hidden Grave. You can access this through the Jagged Peak.

Ancient Dragon Senessax

You will find Senessx at the very top of Jagged Peak. You will need to beat the Drake bosses first before you reach this one.
Dryleaf Dane

While he is initially introduced as an NPC, you will get to challenge Dryleaf Dane and get your hands on the fancy martial arts movesets that are shown in the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Trailers. However, you will need to complete the Monk’s Missive quest guide to be able to challenge him.
Ralva the Red Bear

Ralva is the first red rune bear boss you face in the DLC. They are significantly harder than the rune bears of the base game and come with AoE roars that can deal damage and cause the earth beneath you to shatter.
Rugalea the Red Bear

Curseblade Labirith

The Lamenter

Jori is a spell caster who will also use other Hornsent inquisitors to help him out in the fight. He will go down pretty fast if you are able to concentrate your DPS on him.
