Dr. Finneus is a new NPC that has been introduced to Fisch with the new Ashfall update. He will offer you a quest and upon completing it you will be able to get your hands on a free boat.

How to start the Dr. Finneus quest in Fisch
To start the Dr. Finneus quest in Fisch you will first need to meet the NPC himself. Dr. Finneus is located in Ashfall which is near Roslit Bay. The Volcano Live event is only accessible once the volcano in the area erupts, so once it does use your GPS (if you have one) to make your way to the following coordinates: XYZ: -1450, 135, 750.
Once there, head to the Central Bay area and you will find Dr. Finneus there on the Volcano Research boat. Once you talk to him he will assign you a quest.
How to complete Dr. Finneus’ quest in Fisch
the quest that Dr. Finneus gives you in Fisch is to complete the new Ashfall Bestiary. The latest update has introduced nine new fish to the game, and your goal will be to catch each of them.

Fisch Dr. Finneus’ quest rewards
Once you have completed the Ashfall Bestiary in Fish, make your way back to Dr. Finneus and talk with him. he will then thank you for completing the quest and provide you with the following rewards:
- Volcanic Research Boat
- Volcanic Helper Title
Here are the stats that the Volcano Research Boat will drop with:
