Zooming in and out in League of Legends is a useful feature, as it allows you to completely zoom out and have a clear view of Summoner’s Rift.
However, players can accidentally zoom in during the middle of chaotic fights which can throw off momentum and lead to crucial mistakes. Players with faulty scroll wheels can also suffer the same issue.
Luckily, there is an easy fix to permanently disable zooming in and out in League of Legends. Read on more to follow this simple guide.
How to remove zoom in and out setting in LoL
Before tweaking with the zoom in and out setting in League of Legends, make sure to zoom out to the maximum, as this gives you a much better gameplay advantage than zooming in.
Open the League of Legends configuration files

You can access the League of Legends configuration files by finding the installation path for the game, which is usually the drive the game is installed in> Riot Games > League of Legends > Config
While there are a couple of files here, the only two that you need to be looking for are input.ini and PersistedSettings.json
Back up, delete, and edit LoL files
It’s a good option to copy and paste the aforementioned files to a separate folder if things go wrong.
Once you have done this, go ahead and delete the PersistedSettings.json file from the Config folder.

You can now open the input.ini file. Go towards the end of the file and add the following text in the entire format after leaving a blank line:
- [MouseSettings]
- RollerButtonSpeed=0
The end result should like something like the image shown above. This ensures that the zooming in and out option in League of Legends is completely removed.
If you wish to undo these changes, simply remove the inserted text from the input.ini file to restore the zoom in and out setting in LoL.
