Fortnite Battle Royale was released on September 26, 2017, and seven years down the line, it is still one of the most-played multiplayer games in the world.
From crossovers and a user-friendly model that hands out free cosmetics time and again to the inclusion of new modes like Zero Build, Reload, OG, and Creative, there’s a lot one can credit for the continued success of the game.

However, at its core, the Battle Royale has survived all these years because of its players having fun and making countless memories with their friends or family.
Recently, a post on Reddit perfectly captured one of the many father-son duos that have roamed around and hunted opponents on the Fortnite island together.
User StarlightHay_ revealed that they’ve been playing Fortnite with their dad since Chapter 1 Season 5 which was released in July 2018 and even after six years, they love spending time in the Battle Royale.
StarlightHay_‘s dad dons a Black Ice King outfit which is enough to prove their OG status in the community. The intimidating skin was a tier 100 reward for completing the Chapter 1 Season 7 Battle Pass and to unlock the Black variant, you had to outlive 1000 opponents.
StarlightHay_ apparently uses a Tropical Punch Zoey outfit that was released in Chapter 2 Season 3. In the video posted on Reddit, the father-son duo recreated a clip they made during Chapter 2 as the Chapter 2 Remix map is largely based on it.
You Can Call Me Al by Paul Simmons playing in the background makes this video even more delightful and unsurprisingly, members of the r/FortNiteBR subreddit can’t take enough of it.
The wholesome clip compelled many fathers and sons to remember how they used to play Fortnite with their children or parents. Some parents were also saddened that their children don’t team with up them anymore and play with friends instead.
All in all, StarlightHay_ undeniably posted one of the most wholesome videos on the r/FortNiteBR subreddit in a long time. The response towards it has naturally been very positive, and it is a great reminder of how games can bring people together.
