Amidst the exciting and brand-new Chapter 6 Season 1 in Fortnite, Epic Games has been asked by the FTC to distribute over $72 million to 629,344 players.
The developer was found guilty of implementing tactics that can potentially lead to players, especially children, spending irresponsibly on in-game items such as outfits, gliders, and emotes.
The game’s button configuration which lets you confirm a purchase with a single press and the developer’s inconsistent practices are some of the reasons that led to the FTC’s decision to issue refunds.
