How to Cook Soup And All Recipes in Abiotic Factor

For survival games like Abiotic Factor, being able to cook soup is important because these food items give you some really important buffs.

Similar to Skyrim, there are different types of soup that you can cook provided you know the recipe. The easiest way to figure these out is by throwing everything in a pot and seeing what you get.

Although you can mix and match different ingredients to make up your concoctions, you won’t get any of the necessary buffs if you don’t get the recipe right. So, without further ado, here’s how you can make good soup in Abiotic Factor, and the recipes to go along with it.

How to Make Good Soup in Abiotic Factor

As mentioned above, to make good soup, you always need to ensure that you get the right set of ingredients in the pot.

However, to cook the item, you need to have a source for the flame, a pot and water. While exploring the lab, you will find stoves in different areas, but you also have a portable stove, with which you can cook soup in Abiotic Factor.

For example, if you put canned peas and milk in a pot, you will get a weird combination which can pass off as soup, but you won’t get any benefits from it.

Additionally, while you can use raw meat to make soup for yourself in Abiotic Factor, you need to ensure that it isn’t contaminated in any form.

Since you’re in a lab, there’s always a possibility of contamination, so be careful to keep radioactive items away from fresh stuff. And try not to experiment too much with alien meat, because more often than not, it’ll give you no bonuses and a bad tummy.

Here’s a quick rundown of what all the buffs do:

  • Souper Satisfied: This is probably the most efficient and the one that you’ll be using the most. Whenever this buff is active, it reduces your hunger for a short duration, letting you explore places longer without having to rely on food items.
  • Bodacious: This buff is a bit difficult to come by, but it’ll give you everything that the Souper Satisfied buff does. Additionally, it’ll also reduce your inventory weight by 25%.
  • Heightened Senses: Gives you bonus XP while scoring kills with melee weapons. Applicable for both blunt and sharp weapons.
  • Mega-Ante: This soup will give you a temporary movement speed and strength boost. So, if you’re looking to explore an area, or you’ve unexpectedly run into an enemy or two, consider consuming a soup with this buff.
  • Quick Reflexes: Consuming this soup will give you bonus XP whenever you reload a weapon. Your shots will be more accurate too.
  • Big Brain: Use this soup whenever you’re planning on building structures in Abiotic Factor for bonus crafting stat and construction XP.
  • Brain Freeze: Gives you heat resistence, letting you stay cool in hot zones. With this buff active, you don’t need to use any Heat Suit.
  • Desire of the Flesh: Reduces incoming damage but attracts the Leyak whenever it’s around you.
  • Lightfooted: You get bonus XP while sprinting and sneaking.
  • Living Off the Land: Increases XP earned while gardening.
  • Rad Resistant: Soups with this buff in Abiotic Factor will give you the Souper Satisfied effect, but will also reduce incoming radiation by 50%.
  • Sweet Tooth: Increases hunger and thirst gain while using junk food from vending machines.
  • Sugar High: Gives you a temporary stamina boost but causes you to get fatigued faster. You will also run to the bathroom more frequently.
