How to cure food poisoning in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 lets players embark on an epic medieval journey, and is a sequel to 2018’s Kingdom Come Deliverance. This RPG features a lot of grounded, ‘realistic’ elements such as staying clean and keeping hunger at bay.

You also have to be careful about the foodstuffs you carry with you – which if left for a long time, might begin to rot. While consuming it will satiate your Hunger, it will also give you food poisoning in return.

Mentioned below are the best ways to cure food poisoning in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

Oats Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

To cure food poisoning in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, you can follow either of the two mentioned methods:

  • Sleep it off: This method requires no consumption of potions or items, and can be quite useful in a pinch when you are out of resources. It does eat through a fair chunk of your HP though, so make sure you aren’t low on health – as there is a very real chance of dying due to food poisoning.
  • Use a Digestive Potion: This is the best way to deal with food poisoning. However, it does require you to craft or buy the item which depending on your resources might prove to be quite expensive.

How to get Digestive Potions in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Buying a Digestive Potion

Digestive Potions can be bought from multiple vendors in the game, for approximately 25 to 35 Groschen. They can usually be found inside Taverns, but a surefire place to buy them is in an Apothecary.

Crafting a Digestive Potion

Once you unlock the Digestive Potion recipe, (unlocked at the start of the game or by directly purchasing it from an Apothecary for 200 Groschen) use the following ingredients to craft it:

  • Nettle x1
  • Thistle x2
  • Charcoal x1

Next, make your way to an Alchemy Bench and follow the steps in succession:

  • Boil Thistle in a cauldron for two whole turns.
  • Add Nettle into the cauldron after grinding it.
  • Boil for one whole turn.
  • Add ground Charcoal to the mixture and you’re done.
