How to start and solve the Lion’s Crest DLC quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

The Lion’s Crest is a DLC quest that you will be able to boot up in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 after you have met certain conditions. Many players seem to be having a lot of trouble triggering this content during their playtime in the RPG, which is why they are not able to get their hands on Sir Brunswick’s armor which is the reward for completing this content.

So if you are struggling to complete this questline then the guide below will help you out.

How to begin the Lion’s Crest DLC quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

To start the Lion’s Crest DLC quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 here are a few things you will need to do:

1) Progress the game till you reach free to roam in Troskowitz

The first thing you will need to do is to progress through the narrative till you reach a point where you are able to explore the town of Troskowitz. This will be around the point where the “Wedding Crashers” quest kicks off.

2) Find and talk to Gaibl

Once you have unlocked free roam, the next step is to locate Gaibl on the map. You can do this by opening the map of the overworld and you will see an indicator in Troskowitz which has the DLC quest marker. Make your way there and you will find the scribe that you are looking for.

Now talk to Gaibl, and he will tell you a story along with a riddle that you must solve to move forward in this questline.

Note: Make sure to pick up a shovel along the way. You will need to round out the DLC and get Sir Brunswick’s armor.

3) Solve Gaibl’s riddle

To solve Gaibl’s riddle all you will need to do is to look closely at the buildings that are in Troskowitz.

  • The towers in Trosky Castle are what is referred to in the riddle as “the crone and maiden”.
  • When the riddle speaks of “true midnight” you will need to head north as it points to the 12 number on the clock.
  • Now as you keep heading north from the towers you will eventually come across a rock formation that has a gap in it. This is the “two guards of stone” that the riddle speaks of.
  • Now as you make your way through you enter a cave, and eventually find a chapel inside it. There is a stone cross there which you will need to interact with. This will then start an animation where you dig out the first piece of Sir Brunswick’s armor.

Now that you have officially started the Lion’s Crest DLC quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, keep completing the riddles like this to get your hands on the entire armor set.

Brunswick’s Map 1

The first map points to the exact location of where you are standing when you receive it. To the right, you will have Trosky Castle, the shrine, and the chapel between the rocks (a bit to the north).

So just follow the road that goes further west, till you come upon a crossroads which is depicted as a distinct triangle on the map that you picked up.

Now head to the north of the crossroads till you enter the woods. Here you will see a den of wolves along with two really tall trees standing next to each other.

Kill the wolves, and then check the smaller trees that are above the wolves’ burrow to find the next piece of Sir Brunswick’s armor set.

When you find the next map, start heading southwest. Here you will come across a large pond as is depicted on the map, along with a small settlement.

Find the fisherman’s house and take the path behind it. You will eventually find some large rocks around the cliff edge with three crosses placed on them.

Make your way up to the rocks, then head to the cross which is to the north to find a treasure chest there. Interact with it to get the next piece of Sir Brunswick’s armor set.

In the third map, you can still see Tachov drawn to the northeast and some baths to the south near a tow bridge crossing. You can reach the baths by immediately making your way to Zhelejov Tavern, and from here you can cross both of the bridges after which you will find a path along a stream that is making its way into the woods.

Keep following the path till you come across a fallen log laid across the stream. Then, head up the hill that overlooks this area to spot a giant oak tree towards the edge. Beneath the oak, you will find the skeletal remains carrying the next piece of Sir Brunswick’s armor set.

For the final piece, fast travel to the Nomad Camp if you have unlocked it, or just manually make your way there. Now head to the point between Nomad Camp and Bozhena’s hut where you will find the hill that you need to climb.

The climb can be difficult, but once you make your way there, you will need to take out some treasure hunters first.

Once they are defeated, look for a pile of rocks with a cross on it. Interact with it and you will receive the final piece of Sir Brunswick’s armor set in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and round out the Lion’s Crest DLC questline.
