How to farm XP in The First Descendant

The First Descendant can feel grindy at times because of the constant need to farm XP and leveling up. Like any other RPG or co-op shooter it is a core part of your progression but it can also get a tad bit annoying.

While every single activity in the game will reward you with XP most of them aren’t the best if you’re looking to level up in the game.

How to level up quickly in The First Descendant

In The First Descendant the best way to farm XP is by completing special operations. These activities are located in every single region and have a high enemy density.

To unlock these missions, you will have to unlock a region completely. To do this, you need to unlock every single outpost in the given region, and defeat the final boss here.

How to complete Special Operations

Special Operations are wave-based missions, where you either need to defend an area or an object or you need to survive the onslaught of enemies.

Most of these missions have 21 waves in total, and it’s best if you attempt it with other players in your team. After a few set of waves, you’ll be given the option to get out of the mission with the rewards you’ve amassed, or continue for more waves.

The best rewards are in the higher tiers of the activity, but you’ll earn a massive amount of XP for defeating enemies while in this mission.

Not only will you zoom through the levels for every single wave that you complete, you’ll also progress through different Mastery Ranks while playing this mission only.

As of now, this is the quickest way to level up quickly and farm XP in the game. You’ll also earn a tonne of XP while playing Dungeons, but those are accessible once you’ve unlocked the Hard difficulty.
