The Fangborn Gar is an Unusual-class rarity catch that you will be able to hook up in Fisch. It’s one of the harder species to get your hands on in the Roblox game, and there are still many in the community who are struggling to get their hands on it.
So if you are looking to get your hands on this catch then the guide below will help you out.
How to find the Fangborn Gar in Fisch

To find the Fangborn Gar, you will need to make your way to the Vertigo undersea cave which is called The Great Abyss. You can access this cavern by making your way through the Strange Whirlpools which appear randomly. While a Strange Whirlpool can spawn in any part of the world, you will mostly see it confined to the ocean or around some of the major islands like Roslit Bay and Moosewood.
When one appears, you will receive a notification on the screen. This phenomenon lasts for around 15 minutes, giving you ample time to jump in. Once you are in the whirlpool, you will be able to catch a Fangborn Gar.
Note: The only way to escape a Strange Whirlpool is to either die, leave the game, or use a Conception Conch. So make sure you are prepared for this nuance.
How to catch a Fangborn Gar in Fisch
Once you are in the Vertigo, you can take up any fishing spot to catch your first Fangborn Gar in Fisch. As it has an Unusual-class rarity, it can be a bit hard to reel in, fortunately, they are not as rare as the legendary or secret catches and you will be able to get your hands on one after a few attempts.
Here are some preferences to keep in mind if you are looking to make the catching process easier:
- Preferred Bait: Fish Head (can be obtained from Bait and Quality Bait Crates.
- Preferred Weather: Foggy weather conditions.
The Fangborn Gar has no preference for the time of day or season. So as long as you are on the right spot, you will be able to catch the species after a few attempts.
Once you have the fish hooked, it will then start to move slowly across the fishing bar. It does not thrash around much and you will have a much easier time reeling it in as long as you are keeping it steady.
